Disappointing

Pros: The location was great

Cons: The manager and staff were very unhelpful. Our room smelt of glue coming from works they were doing. It was extremely unpleasant.

This was a trip to show my son the delights of Venice and this hotel was a dream of a location

Pros: Omg wow wow wow what an absolutely stunning hotel and location absolutely loved everything 3rd visit to Venice and I will never stay anywhere other then this hotel for future visits

Pros: The location was good. The hotel is nice. The breakfast was not bad. The staff on the reception were not really friendly. The housekeeping staff and the staff in the restaurant were good and friendly.

Pros: The location was amazing, overlooking a popular gondola station and 30 meters away from San Marco square, you couldn't ask for a better location.

Cons: The staff we found to be less than helpful, oh they were pleasant a few times but we very really got a hello a good morning nothing. We were only there for a few days but our daughter stayed at another hotel a couple of weeks prior and they couldn't do enough for them. The breakfast, although it was nice, was the same every single day. The breakfast staff were very friendly and always greeted you with a good morning and welcomed us in. The room was small, very small. To the point where you have to shuffle sideways around the bed small. The bed itself was tiny, I'm 5'10" and my feet hung over the bottom and not just by a little, it was also VERY firm almost like sleeping on the floor, had there been room we may well had done. The ensuite was nice well maintained and layed out. The water was kind of strange in that, the bath wasn't hot and the shower went from scolding to cold and back again so you had the time your movements to avoid either end of its swing. We also found that it's really expensive for tea and coffee if the breakfast isn't on. We called in to get a drink before heading out again, this cost us 14, they knew we were staying there so you'd think there would be some kind of concession made for this but no full price. Apart from the breakfast included and the toiletries in the room, I wouldn't say this was a 4 star hotel.
