    A most enjoyable stay!

    Pros: Clean, comfortable, spacious, beautiful facility. Excellent breakfast! Staff was extremely friendly and helpful! Very much enjoyed our stay! We would gladly stay here again.
    Cons: Unfortunately the elevator was broken during our stay, which made it difficult for my dad. Otherwise, everything would have been perfect.

    Great hotel in a great location

    Pros: Lovely traditional building , great choice for breakfast . Very helpful at reception.
    Cons: Having to ask for toiletries ( nothing in the room ) .asked for walking shower , didn't get one .Lift out of order , very tough on me and my partner as we both use sticks ( we were on the 3rd floor ).

    Pleasant enough stay in a good location but hotel is tired and currently not 4 stars

    Pros: Really liked the location. Close enough to walk into town but also great being near Dean Village and the The Water of Leith walkway. Room was very spacious and had a great view. Bed very comfy. Staff on the whole friendly.
    Cons: Although we had been informed the lift was out of order, the building has high ceiling so walking up all the stairs to our room on the third floor was a pain especially after a long day of sightseeing. Looking at the reviews it does not appear the lift has worked for a long time. We were in Room 13 and had a bad night sleep first night as the radiators started to make a dreadful sound in the middle of the night and would not stop despite us turning them off completely. We were advised the next day that as we had 2 radiators in our room, one needed to be left on permanently and the other one to be turned off. This was resolved by the member of staff the next day and we had no further issues but as this clearly is an issue in that room we should have been advised on our arrival not to touch the radiators. I was disappointed no toiletries were automatically provided in the room. I understand this to due to the hotel trying to be more eco friendly however that is completely at odds with the fact that one of our radiators had to remain on through the night, which is not eco friendly.

    Superb

    Pros: The hotel is in a lovely building in a great location, close to Haymarket, Princes Street, restaurants and pubs, but far enough away from the main roads to be quiet. The room was a good size and comfortable. I was in a top floor room and was concerned that the water pressure might not be great but everything was fine. The cooked breakfast was good. Right amount, good quality. When I came in, the breakfast room was crowded and I thought I would have a long wait, but they were very efficient.
