horrible - do not book

Pros: The lady at the reception, was nice and polite when we arrived, she was not at the desk anymore when we wanted to explain why we were leaving and not sleeping there. ---- no english spoken only french...

Cons: I booked the Appart'City Classic Antibes on the same day due to being on the road for many hours and needing a place to rest for the night. When looking on the Booking.com app I didn't realise the place had this many bad reviews but I usually trust anything that is on your website or app, being a long time customer. Upon arriving at the place, I immediately noticed that the hotel needed maintenance, however in the reception hall you were greeted by the staff and I did not think much of it initially. I checked in and started walking to my room. Immediately in the hall towards the elevators I started smelling a terrible smell of humidity, dirt and lack of air ventilation. It was so strong that I literally had to run towards the room to avoid being long in the hallway. Upon entering the room the smell not only did not improve but the situation was clear that the place was absolutely abandoned. The state in which we found the place was horrible, I am attaching pictures to explain the situation although I feel like those don't make justice to the whole experience - especially because in pictures the SMELL CANNOT BE SHOWN! I am extremely disappointed at Booking.com for keeping this place in their website without even doing a quality check or making sure that the hotel keeps the quality as stated in their pictures. I called immediately your customer service who very nicely apologizes for the situation, tried to call the hotel (the staff did not speak english) and recommended me to find a different place seen that I was so shocked I did not want to touch ANYTHING at that point that was in that room, forget about sleeping there. I left and did not sleep in this place, too filthy. Still waiting on a refund....

Relatively inexpensive Hotel room.

Pros: From outside very modern hotel. Parking on site (but for 12 Euros extra). Wifi was free.

Cons: Although basically clean, carpet and tiles were outworn or broken. Water tap in the shower was difficult to move.

Bad

Cons: I emailed about late check in because of my flight, I was told someone would be at the desk. When I arrived then property was locked and I had no access in. One of the other guests was able to let me in the gate but I was given no pin code for the safe for after hours keys. I ended up having to book the hotel next door to stay the night and I was still charged for 1 night's stay here even though I didnt check in.

Pleasant

It's ok but it can be better

Pros: It is not perfect, but it was ok for our 5 nights stay. There is a bus stop close to the hotel that takes you to the city centre. Also you have a very good boulangerie nearby (Boulangerie Ange) and a McDonald's and a big Carrefour. Good value for money for a hotel in August on the coast.

Cons: A little bit more attention to the cleanes, especially towels.

Needs renovation & air-condition system to be nice

Pros: -private parking (but payment) -localisation near to the commercial center (Carrefour, petrol station etc.)

Cons: Generally, Appart'City has the opportunity to be a nice hotel, but ONLY IN CONDITION if the owner will invest in: -complete renovation (walls painting, bathrooms renovation etc.), -professional cleaning company (dirty carpets & upholstery on the chairs needs a deep washing or have to be thrown away) -air-condition installation (was hard to survive in a room with 36 degrees of temperature..)

Cons: Service was quiet poor, the room and bathroom wasnt cleaned to standard, it was very smelly of cooking food, air conditioning not working, I received email from booking.com telling me that I left without paying, while I paid while check out, and they charged me extra 200 due to that, and they charged me for parking while I havent used their parking,I had to go back to the hotel before closing to sort it out, because they were not answering the phone, I was lucky enough was staying in the area, if I left, probably it will take longer to sort it out

Pros: The only good thing was the location of the hotel

Cons: It was terrible, dirty and the bed was making noises

Pros: Breakfast acceptable. Room spacious.

Cons: Wasnt told air con wasnt working until after wed booked. Receptionist was rude. Booking.com showed breakfast as included but was made to pay again. Facilities basic.

Don't book this hotel if you're arriving after the reception closes.

Cons: Though I alerted the hotel that I was arriving late, I did not receive the code to collect my key card from the safe. Thus I was standing outside for 1,5 hours. The number I called for help was very unhelpful.

I was happy to leave

Pros: Friendly staff

Cons: Carpets are filthy, bed uncomfortable, no AC, fan not useful
