We had a relaxing and comfortable stay with excellent food and lovely staff.

Pros: We had an amazing suite with a raised bath, relaxation area, work hub etc. it was outstanding. The view over the grounds and lake was superb.

Poor with health and safety issues that need to be addressed.

Cons: Expensive to eat. In the middle of refurbishment and needed to go via a side entrance which was not lit. Walked past accessible rooms on the ground which faced the kitchen / utility / services part of the restaurant / hotel. No good view for them and my room on the first floor faced a brick wall and a roof top to a large building. The bathroom had not been cleaned as there was old yellow / brown soap build up from bodily dirt on the tiles. The mattress was uncomfortable. I also had no TV as it could not pick up any WiFi. It was also difficult to pick up wifi with my laptop. I got it eventually after filling in a form as that was the only way to obtain it. Then it was gone again later. The room was small and unsafe with the large kettle next to a desk lamp and under the TV. Also I had to use a glass to get water to fill it up as it did not go under the sink tap. There was a tray with the coffee and sugars and also loads of packets of nuts or crisps. NOT GOOD if a person is allergic. No telephone in room for an emergency. For a hotel that is expensive for the good rooms, I still expected better basics on a less expensive room. There were no IT PORTS either. It was a shame as it would be convenient when visiting in the area.

This hotel should be reduced to 2* quality whilst the current building work is in progress.

Pros: The setting was nice and the room ok.

Cons: Building work meant the main hotel building was closed with the exception of the bar/restaurant. The available rooms were in an detached annex building, all with external doors. The weather was horrible and this made the external room doors cold and unappealing. Journeys to breakfast/dinner/bar involved a cold and wet walk in the rain. We were disturbed by noise and floor creaking from the people in the room above us. The hotel was priced at 4* high end which was totally inappropriate given the current state of things. The next hotel we stayed in was far better quality and much cheaper than Worplesdon Place Hotel.

I would definitely stay here again.

Pros: We booked 2 rooms (24/25). Large comfy beds and nicely situated. We had breakfast and evening meal which were extremely tasty. The staff were all very friendly. I have eaten here before whilst visiting a relative and have always found the food good.

Cons: The bathroom had underfloor heating and a radiator which made the room too warm however there was an opening window.

I would definitely stay here...

Pros: We booked 2 rooms (24/25). Large comfy beds and nicely situated. We had breakfast and evening meal which were extremely tasty. The staff were all very friendly. I have eaten here before whilst visiting a relative and have always found the food good.

Cons: The bathroom had underfloor heating and a radiator which made the room too warm however there was an opening window.
