Pros: This is a lovely quaint property. Very quiet . Good self serve facilities - shared lounge with toaster microwave kettle water dispenser basic essentials- cutlery etc. in your room is a fridge and coffee maker. Beds very very soft, lots of very hot water for bath, shower not working. Very quiet.

Cons: Make sure you take supplies with you. The cafes and bar at kicking horse mountain resort were very expensive. Whistler and the eagle eye restaurants offer much better value for money which was a shame I didnt expect to pay more at these resorts over whistler. The bar/restaurant in winston lodge i believe is only open during ski season. This place isnt really staffed very well, you are given a number to call jf you need anything and told the answer phone is checked regularly. We didnt need to call, but I wonder if having staff around makes it all feel a little more welcoming. No daily checking of rooms, changing linen empty bins, cup exchange etc..

Family holiday travelling around Canada, it didnt disappoint!

Pros: Loved everything, comfy beds, nice bathroom. We are Europeans so took a minute or two to figure out how to lock the door! Everything else was easy to use. Facilities in the surrounding resort were great and we enjoyed eating there in the morning and on one of the evenings as the bar/restaurant was shut on the Monday, but we just ate in Golden before we headed back to the resort.

Exceptional stay at a perfect lodge.

Pros: The location out of town was perfect. The lodge was beautiful an exceptional property. Great room amenities with a very comfortable living space and bed along with a well appointed bathroom. The common lounge were great and very inviting.

Cons: The only very small issue was that the TV signal kept dropping out.

all in all a good place to stay, can walk to the gondola

Pros: Staff was VERY friendly and helpful, location is good and place was very quiet.

Cons: The facility is getting older and things needed repair, for example the door on the little fridge's freezer compartment was broken and fridge ran constantly, sliding screen door needed lubricating, wasn't working too well, just some general maintenance needed.

Pros: It had really peaceful vibes about it and was located close outside of the village close to many hiking trails. It felt really homey and cosy

Cons: There is nothing much nearby in terms of eateries/groceries and the room only has a coffeemaker. There is a microwave and kettle in the common room but it would have been great to have a sink as well and a stove given there is not much around to get fed.

Cons: Fridge was tiny, railing on deck is rotted and dangerous if anyone heavy leaned on it it would break, one kettle and one toaster for the facility and the communal kitchen area did not have a stove nor running water

Pros: It was tucked away from all the hustle and bustle.

Cons: The room was very hot, the fan provided didnt do much. An a/c would make for a more enjoyable experience.

Cons: Did not have anyone to greet us.Envelope left with key inside.Only time I saw a staff member when I called twice to get toilet paper. Asked to have room cleaned after it was not cleaned the first night. They left towels the following day but didn't clean and forgot the toilet paper.The did apologize and said they only had two cleaning staff.The screen on the window was broken. Had to call everytime I had a question and leave a message, no staff on duty. Only had Netflix's which we had to use own Netflix's for and wifi was terrible.Refrigerator froze all my peaches.Very expensive over 300 a night for horrible service.

They mislead you with their services once you book your screwed, and they do not give you your money

Pros: Do not stay at this lodge. They will absolutely rip you off. It is not worth your money. The restaurant is never open, but they do not tell you that. They take your money even though there is no restaurant on premises and you have to drive every meal to a restaurant in Golden. Its an absolute rip off do not stay there.

Cons: I had made reservations under the impression the restaurant was open. It is not open. They did not specify that so obviously, I wanted to cancel my booking because there was no restaurant on premises, and I did not want to leave the premises. They would not give me my money back and charge me for the whole two days.
