No Sleep Horrible Hotel Stay Away

Pros: Very little, but I can say honestly that the front desk staff and security were very friendly.

Cons: They lie about a lot of things! First of all, I came there to rest and sleep and work on my laptop. With check in I was given a basic standard room on the 2nd floor, then I showed my booking and was moved into a Superior Suite Room on the 7th floor. I was also excited to use the gym, and specifically searched for a hotel with a gym. The Gym has not been operating since covid, as well as the Restaurant on the 9th floor, featured on Booking.com. I will email Booking.com regarding the following. They turned the 9th floor into a Night Club, not listed anywhere. From Thursday till Sunday night between 00:00 and 04:00 I couldn't sleep. The loud bass frequencies drive through the walls and all you hear is doof doof doof doof. I love Clubs, don't get me wrong, but not one or two floors from where you sleep, and certainly not on a 4 star hotel. I thought it was the room above me at first, then went up another floor and saw a bouncer standing by entrance letting people in. When I went to the Lobby to complain, this at 02:30 in the morning, there were proper red access ropes in front of the Hotel entrance with three more bouncers. I yelled at everyone and told them that this was unacceptable, and everyone laughed. The next day the Hotel Manager asked if I wanted to move to the 2nd floor, basically downgrading me to a much lesser room. I told him I will take 4 nights without good sleep just to write this review so other can know, and so that Booking.com can know what's going on at this Hotel. The windows as well were so filthy I couldn't even enjoy the bad view I had, filth dripping down where you can see the outside of the Hotel's windows had not been cleaned in months. Apart from the noise I saw many underage drunk girls, and I know age, I have been working in Hospitality for 31 years. The breakfast is a joke, the make the scrambled eggs probably at 6 in the morning in a huge tray and never check it again.

Cons: Like I said before have stayed there often and will continue staying but this last room was not in very good conditions all rooms usually have their irons I had to even ask the cleaning lady for one and the cleaning lady was very loud which that had never happened before

Pros: Great location in the city of Santo Domingo. My room was on the other side of the building, so it was very quiet. Room was big, bed was comfy and what I liked most was the mini fridge. Will be back!
