Good location but no hot water - this seems to be an issue with this hotel looking back at past reviews

Pros: The location was good and the rooms were a good size.

Cons: We had no hot water and this had been a problem before we arrived and I specifically asked on arrival if there was hot water and I was told it was resolved. This was not accurate there was no hot water for the duration of our stay. In fairness we were given a 50% refund.

WAY to expensive for what we got which was basically a bed and a bathroom.

Pros: Im struggling to give a positive response.

Cons: Its on an inconvenient one way street. It is poorly lit inside and once you enter the front entrance you must go down about a dozen steps to the lobby. There was no doorman and no one to help with luggage. The staff was vaguely helpful but didnt seem to know what was going on. We wanted to eat at the restaurant in the hotel the night we checked in and the front desk clerk had to go ask if we needed a reservation or not.

Pros: The apple cider in the lobby was a real treat. The location was great! The beds are very comfortable and fresh! Bathroom very clean.

Cons: The rooms dont have good lighting. The rug and furniture makes it all very dark and heavy.

Pros: Great location. Lovely new build but retro with fantastic lobby Most of the staff including the manager were very helpful and friendly. Great restaurant with locally sourced food

Cons: The receptionist who first greeted us was very surly. Spoke with manager about this and things improved. The room was a bit small for two people with not a lot of storage space. The lighting was insufficient for two seniors and we kept losing things. The boiler didnt work for several days but the hotel offered a significant refund which Im hoping booking.com will process

Pros: Walker Hotel is in a great location with easy walking to Greenwich Village and Union Square areas. The hotel is clean and staff is very friendly and helpful. Love the art deco 1920s vibe decor.

Cons: For my trip, the hot water wasnt working on the property properly making it hard to shower properly. The hotel did refund the facility fee due to the issue.
