    Best of the best

    Pros: Everything about the hotel was so impressive. Room was huge, can properly fit family of 6. Ocean view from the window. We could even open the sliding window to let the breeze in and enjoy the wave sound. The staff was super attentive. Right after checking in, it felt like all the staff knew who we were. Private onsen was exception. Meals were top notch. Location was a bit off but we can live with that while enjoying what the hotel has to offer.
    Cons: Location is not convenient but taxi service available within 2 minutes.

    Pros: Beautiful room. Great view. Spotless, heaps of room and comfortable. Good tram to town. Really loved Hakodate.
    Cons: Tricky communication. Booked private onsen but couldnt find it and there was no-one around to help.

    Pros: Magical place. Exceptional service and hospitality from staff. The onsens were relaxing and beautiful. We loved the private bath to enjoy as a family. The room was immaculate and the view amazing. 10 out of 10!

    Pros: Really cool traditional hotel and great facilities. The staff was amazing and very welcoming.

    Pros: All are wonderful. The big window with ocean-view is great. Nothing but soothing and relaxing. The futon bed and pillows are superb!
    Cons: No vending machine. You could get from the 7-11 across the street.

    Beautiful rooms, friendly staff, though a bit costly do book multiple days in advance.

    Pros: Very friendly staff. Beautiful rooms, fantastic view.
    Cons: The advertisement text could have been clearer: if you book on the same day, you won't get dinner or breakfast. Also, they give you an energy surcharge upon checkout, which could have been included in the price on Booking.

    High class place that treats you like royalty.

    Pros: This classic ryokan has been redone recently and the rooms and all facilities are 5-star.
    Cons: This is an expensive place and so we couldnt stay longer than two nights but we really enjoyed the onsen, the rooms, the food and the service.
