    Beautiful art nouveau house, wonderful staff, a great place to stay in Barga

    Pros: We loved this villa from early 1900s with its remarkable Art Nouveau decor and furnishings, large rooms, including a terrace for the buffet breakfast, a lovely garden setting a short walk from central Barga, safe parking, and a great welcome from the staff, notably Nadia and Beatrice. When we left something important behind Beatrice organized a courier to send it to us at our next location, for which we were very grateful. It would be a pleasure to stay again.

    Fabulous Barga and Villa Moorings

    Pros: Set in a beautiful 100 year old villa our room was perfect. We loved staying at VM. The staff were delightful, funny and very helpful. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Everything we needed was available. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious with warm, fresh focaccia, homemade muffins and cakes, plus fresh cold cuts and cheeses. Eggs cooked perfectly to order and good coffee. Aperitivo in the bar excellent. Thank you for a lovely stay.

    First time in Barga, Villa Moorings was perfect place to base ourselves

    Pros: The staff were excellent, very warm, helpful and welcoming. The room we had was large, spacious, bright and airy with lovely views over the hills. Location was excellent with everything in easy walking distance.

    Brilliant stay would recommend to others and would stay again

    Pros: Breakfast table was lovely , good selection, Happy to make us pancakes or eggs in whatever way we wanted . Staff were lovely . Room was large , air-conditioning was a blessing , I loved the casual feel of this hotel more like staying in a very large villa .
    Cons: Not much to dislike , perhaps a small lunch menu would have been welcome . Also the hotel is very quiet at night so if you wanted to stay in and have a drink at the bar not really an option , however you are yards from the town centre so not really a requirement .

    We had a fabulous stay at Villa Moorings and would definitely recommend and stay in the future.

    Pros: The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful - they booked all our taxi's. The hotel was very clean as were the rooms. Breakfast was a definite hit with my partner and there was lots of variety.
    Cons: The original room standard room we booked had very small windows, this did not show the beautiful scenery or let in much air - upgrading to the junior suite was so much better. The room and views were amazing.
