Top level relaxation

Pros: The place is amazing. The view is beautiful, the pool, the garden and room are super clean. Food is great. Even the burger was top level. The room is cleaned and organized twice a day. They offer shuttle to the city (Florence).

Pros: We celebrated a special occasion at Villa la Massa. It was a wonderful place to celebrate and the staff was very helpful! Definitely a place to come back to.

A fabulous 4 night stay, Id definitely return if more restaurant choice was available.

Pros: Villa la massa was amazing, the staff went above and beyond with their level of service. The restaurants were both very good, breakfast each morning overlooking the river was fabulous. The spa therapist gave a wonderful massage and facial. The chef came out each day to ask everyone if they enjoyed their meal. The hotel rooms are gorgeous, the bathrooms were spacious, everywhere is absolutely spotless. The pool area was very well maintained, always someone to get you water, a towel. All the staff were just so friendly.

Cons: Unfortunately for most of the days its just fine dining on offer, we enjoyed the fine dining restaurant but dont really want that four days in a row. The more casual restaurant was only open one of those days and it was empty. Theres nowhere to walk to so you do need a car to reach somewhere more relaxed. The spa area allowed small children to jump in and out of the jacuzzi, scream and shout, I went for a spa treatment, arrived early to relax but sadly I had to leave with all the noise. I asked the staff if there was another area but was told outside might be quieter ( it was 36 degrees) . When I went back at the time of the treatment the children were leaving. In all the 5 star hotels Ive stayed in it simply wouldnt be allowed, a spa is for relaxation, you are paying 125 for a massage and shouldnt have to listen to screaming, there is an outdoor pool for that type of behaviour. Dont think that its going to be a complete tranquil haven as there were many very loud familys and children staying so around the pool was pretty noisy, balls and frisbees flying about. Id left my children with my parents as I didnt think it was really a holiday for kids.

Cons: The staff was kind but no one showed us a tour of the spa facilities, so we never got the opportunity to use hot tub, gym etc. even though we stayed for four nights.
