Eaton DC is a gem...

Pros: The rooms are really fun and comfortable. The location relative to many parts of the city is hard to beat plus lots of great local food and coffee spots. The staff are really the jewel of the property; they are very helpful, cheery, and knowledgeable of the area. Close to metro so transport to and from DCA was a breeze.

Cons: The curtains didn't close all the way so there was some streetlight glare that made its way in. However, this was not a huge issue. The gym is also small but again not an issue since I was able to go for a few runs down to the National Mall.

Pros: The staff was exceptionally nice and responsive. They checked us in a little early and we got a terrific room on the 7th floor. I was able to work easily in the cafe area, with great wifi and a quiet space. Absolutely excellent. Would stay again and would recommend it.

Pros: Nice flair, cool people, awesome parties! And the record player on the room is a nice gadget. I like the interior and style of the rooms, especially the big bed and beautiful bathroom.

Cons: The water pressure was REALLY low, maybe it is just a problem at my room, but it took me hours to get a proper shower. Nothing that can't be fixed, so everything alright :)

Pros: I’m not a review writer, but I read all the reviews before I book a hotel so why not share?!?! We stayed in a room with a king size bed on the 8th floor . It was clean , the bed was comfy, it was spacious (enough for 3 days) and super cool .. had a “vibe”. Like any city , you will hear the sirens of police/ambulance in the middle of the night but as a light sleeper it truly wasn’t bad. There is a coffee shop with baked goods and breakfast attached to the hotel with an entrance from the lobby. There’s also a resturant. Sadly, we did not try the restaurant but the coffee at coffee shop was great ! This hotel also has a rooftop bar and on Fridays and Saturdays it gets busy and fun with great music. The location depending on what you want to do was perfect for us. It’s walking distance to many things but not the “nightlife” streets . We road bikes everywhere . We used the Lyft app to rent bikes (capital bikes)to get around the city. Those were SUPER easy to use! There’s a docking station about a 3 min walk from the Eaton. Hope this helped !

Party until the early morning...

Pros: Location

Cons: If you like hearing loud music until the early morning hours in your room this is the place to be. At times the floor was even slightly trembling. There might be noise resistant guests who don‘t mind but it is extremely unfair by the hotel not to mention such a fact. Quite the opposite… the receptionist pretended to upgrade us by giving us a room on one of the top floors which meant nearer to the bar and the dance club on the roof. I bet she was laughing her head off behind our back.

Great value, vibe, and location.

Pros: The cultural and inclusive vibe. The room was very comfortable. Simone, the front-desk person at check-in, was great.

Cons: The room had a view of the roof-top airconditioning units. The phonograph stereo in the room was broken, the left channel was not working. Our plans conflicted with the scheduled spa events.

Disappointing. Room sizes are terrible

Pros: Location is good for DC. That is the best part. In fact, that is the only good part. Except for the wifi which is of good quality, but these days that's a given.

Cons: And then the bad part. The rooms were very small. Japanese style almost. Tiny bathroom, hardly enough space for your luggage in fairness. The manager was quite rude when I complained about the size of the room. The rooms are just 3 start at their best. In any Hampton Inn or Courtyard Marriot you will get a better quality room. It's also all meant to be very woke (for instance, Fox News is not available on their TV, was blocked deliberately), and the breakfast you have to pay for of very dubious quality. I would not recommend this property. There are better options for a similar (high price) in DC very nearby.

My favourite North American hotel...

Pros: This is more than a hotel. It's an experience. The Allegory speakeasy is now my favourite bar in the world. The rooftop bar is full of light and is beautiful. The rooms are cozy. Michel's has great food!

Cons: The coffee at Baker's Daughter could be better. Had to go down the street to Paul bakery cafe for good coffee.
