About Travelodge By Wyndham Brand Hotels

The need to unwind and visit unique destinations matched with cheap airline promos has led to the rise of travelers during the last few years. If you're gearing up for that vacation you've long put on hold because you only have some to spare for a hotel without sacrificing comfort, Travelodge is perfect for you.

The brand was first opened in the US in 1939 as a budget hotel, emphasizing its good locations and lower rates among its competitors. From then on it has expanded into many countries, such as Canada, United Kingdom, Australia and most recently, Asia. Travelodge is the third biggest hotel chain in Canada. It kicks off its Asian expansion in Kowloon, Hongkong in 2017 with more plans of opening in key destinations such as Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, and Indonesia.

Its 80 years of operations have made Travelodge adapt to the changing type of travelers. In the US, it's been long popular to families with children due to its Sleepy Bear mascot also printed in slippers and robes. Now, it caters to new types of travelers: the trailblazers. The trailblazers are a new breed of savvy travelers. Its free wifi, low prices, locally inspired rooms with quality amenities, several special offers, and Lowest Price and TravelodgeR Recognition Program are just too tempting to miss out on this hotel.

With its revenue up 8.8 percent and opening the third hotel in Malaysia within just six months, Traveldoge is sure to be in every main destination.

Exceptional
Pros: Easy to find and access. Room was clean. Staff was polite. Floors were a wood laminate which felt a lot cleaner than carpet so I was happy with that. Room size was good and updated.
Cons: I didn't care for the restroom setup and shower. Restroom was small and cramped, you had to move out of the way to open the door and have it not hit you standing in front of the toilet. Shower "hot" setting was odd

Fair
Pros: Free WIFI, mini fridge, microwave, parking
Cons: They charged an xtra $15 per night for pets and it was not explained at reservation. They charged me $35 for "damaged towels". The "damaged towels" were from using to clean a spill on the floor. If their floors were dirty, why am I being charged?
