Cons: Ended up with 3 rooms. Last one was very far from main building and in a wing that was old fashioned and being renovated. Initially was put in a room in the animal friendly section without being informed and was finally moved following complaining for 1 hour. Second room allocation was a dumping ground for the linen/cleaning trolley and items for decorating.

Overpriced, and uncomfortable stay. If you are interested in their story, just read the books.

Pros: Location was very pretty, history tour was interesting

Cons: Our rooms were above the front entrance where they piped music ALL NIGHT LONG. When we complained, they said it was company policy to play the music 24/7. NOT TRUE, as the next night they shut it off after much complaining. At the price paid per night this was unacceptable. Also the open hours for the exercise facilities were limiting. The prices were really high- $60 for 3 beers and pretzels!! Staff was a mixed bag, some very nice, some rude. Only breakfast option was the buffet which was $26 per person even though my documentation from booking.com said it was supposed to be $20.

One of our favorite vacations yet!

Pros: The lodge was so picturesque! The view from our room was somewhat obstructed by another part of the lodge but still could see the mountain. Our room was spacious and clean. Love location was an easy drive to the sites we wanted to visit!

Cons: The tv locations in our room were too low. It was not very easy to lay in bed and watch the tv. Also the cleaning staff (does an amazing job) but needs to pay a little more attention to some overlooked details- the jets in the tub and the coffee maker. Both were incredibly dirty on the inside. I would not use either.

Trapp Family Lodge is one of the best is the Stowe area.

Pros: The property was very well kept. The lodge is starting to show its age but still is an excellent place to stay. The location is off the main roads making it far more appealing. The Mountain Views are perfect for a relaxing stay. Dont miss their brewery and lunch there.

Cons: The lodge is a very popular with travelers. Its was over booked as a results we were not able to get reservations for dinner on any of our days. We were fortunate to reserve a table for breakfast.
