    Wonderful

    Great short notice break!

    Pros: Great quiet apartment just a stroll to the beach and the Boat Club. Ed's recommendations on dining options were helpful. (It wasn't his fault the staff at the restaurant were totally useless!!)
    Cons: The bed was a little small to quibble, and lugging the bags up the stairs was not ideal. That said, it was a great stay and Ed and his good lady were excellent hosts.

    Pros: We needed a room for a couple of nights whilst transferring. The place was good and local. The top floor room was hard due to the stairs, but that's the way it is. If it was for a holiday, it'd be a big 10 from me.
    Cons: A little expensive.

    York Holiday Apartments was an excellent destinations for myself and my family.

    Pros: The apartments had everything our family needed for a home away from home. Plus a lovely balcony which we sat out on when dining overlooking the beautiful pool and gardens. Great location within easy drive to airport and the city of Cairns. Quiet, yet some local shops boasted a grocery store, chemist shop, wine/beer store and a delightful unpretentious and friendly Thai restaurant.
    Cons: I didnt like the fact I had to walk upstairs but survived. I had an apartment on the 1st floor and my adult grandchildren were on the 2nd floor. We coped.

    Booked there to relax and unwind, perfect.

    Pros: The location was great. The property has a lovely setting and was across the road from beach. Th eye are cafes/restaurants within walking distance and a bus every hour to the shopping centre.

    A very enjoyable stay and would return if we were back in the area.

    Pros: We found The York an excellent place for us to base for the two weeks we had around Cairns. Ed and Mai keep the property very tidy and the gardens are well kept. We enjoyed being based by the beach in a lovely quiet locality. There were two Coffee places within easy walking distance and both had great coffee.
    Cons: We don't believe we could fault the property.
