    Our overall stay was enjoyable and relaxed

    Pros: The property was very modern and inviting and the location was lovely. The atmosphere was very chilled. Drinks prices were really good. Breakfast choice was very Egg oriented but the full English was really nice
    Cons: The pillows were waffery/thin. Menu is pretty pricey for what ls on offer.

    Magnificent Mersea and the Victory Hotel

    Pros: All in all, an all-round excellent stay. Nothing but praise for the staff and the facilities, food and location. Coffee on the balcony overlooking the harbour and boats was a big bonus.
    Cons: Leaving was a disappointment; we would have appreciated another few days to enjoy the accommodation more.

    Comfortable room without expected hotel services

    Pros: Great location. Comfortable bed. Friendly staff. Nice freshly cooked breakfast.
    Cons: A bit lacking in attention, no spare loo rolls , no toiletries, no clean whilst stay or help with bags. For the money I would have expected a bit more. As it is, its a very comfortable room above a pub not really a hotel as expected.

    Pros: Excellent standard of food, dinner and breakfast was great - despite kitchen having run out of eggs!
    Cons: More eggs! Room and outside area were a bit grotty, but it met our requirements perfectly. A heads up on the tide times would have been useful as we spent an hour waiting to get off the island due to high tide!

    Pros: The staff were very professional and nice. Food was excellent but far to much.
    Cons: The big stain on the carpet in our room. Lack of extra pillows or a throw. No bedside lights. Mold in the bathroom and loads of cobwebs. Light on bathroom mirror not working and a big black paint stain on the bathroom door. Pub bench on our balcony. Not what I would expect for yhe money we paid. All these things could be easily changed for very little money

    Great seaside getaway.

    Pros: Wonderful room with a great view and a balcony. Accommodating friendly staff. Really good food. Properly dog friendly. Peter the barman was an absolute diamond and really looked after us. James the manager was very attentive and always there. Rachel in the kitchen was just amazing, her food is wonderful.
    Cons: There was nothing I did not like.
