Pros: Got free upgrade to huge room in Lodge itself with Queen size four poster bed. Nice & warm. Big bathroom with plenty hot water & power shower. Had evening meal. Not a huge menu, but delicious & reasonably priced. Staff on reception was fantastic & was doing all the serving at bar & restaurant herself. Top service.

Cons: Breakfast a bit expensive at 18.

Certainly wouldnt stay again. The hygiene levels are concerning. The lady on reception was lovely.

Pros: Beautiful setting in great location. The young lady on reception was very apologetic for what we had experienced whilst at the property.

Cons: Toilet was left used, and not even flushed from previous guest/house keeper. Mice in the room. Constant smell of sewage.

Pros: Old style Lodge with clean modern rooms. In own grounds near the town centre. Large room with comfortable bed. Good television. Furniture. and kettle. Good Bath and shower. Soaps. Nice evening meal with table service. Breakfast with table service and choice. Pleasant helpful staff in a quiet location.

Lovely hotel, fantastic staff.

Pros: Beautiful building, great location, very comfortable. My autistic son and I ended up staying here in unexpectedly due to my car breaking down. We turned up tired and both rather frazzled for different reasons. Beth on reception was amazing, she incredibly friendly and helpful and was even able to engage my son; she listened and showed interest in the information he told her. The restaurant had stopped serving by the time we got there and Beth helped us find food to order and then brought it to our room when it arrived. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, and despite it being cold, I was lovely and warm. The bathroom was clean and the shower was excellent and hot.

Cons: The room could have been a little warmer but thats about it.

Cons: The bedroom in the annexe had a leak on the bed from the roof. Bed and floor wet, though. This leak caused a fault with the fire alarms wiring, which went off 4 times during the course of the night.. We were put in the Annexe, not knowing we were a five minute walk from the Hotel.
