Pros: Comfortable quiet room, great location for station and centre of town. Helpful reception desk. Good breakfast.

Cons: My room was in the 'House' , effectively a new build in the car park at the back of the old building. Whilst comfortable it lacked charm and character, which I was hoping for from the photographs when I booked. This made it a generic hotel room and expensive for what it turned out to be. Also I had to walk across the car park to get back into the main building for the bar and breakfast which was not great in the rain.

Cons: Initial welcome at reception was not overly friendly. Not able to access 'netflix' or similar on TV. No airconditioning in room. No milk in room for morning coffee and tea.

Cons: Not tourist friendly. Poor directions to location of rooms. Note that you may not be staying in the main building but the hostel like structure separated by a carpark. Going to that building involves alot of steps that is neither tourist friendly or handicap friendly without any lifts. I think it is 5 stars for the front facade by 2 stars for the rest. Would rather go to Novotel or ibis. Was extremely unpleasant and spoilt our anniversary. Reception staff was nice but unable to balance out unpleasant experience because of the building. U feel you are short change. This surely not a 5 star hotel
