Very pleasant and ethical hotel

Pros: The people who work at the hotel are incredibly friendly; they remember you and are warm and helpful. We also really liked the social and environmental consciousness of the hotel. They minimize the use of plastic and do a variety of social projects. We also like the location - very convenient.

Cons: The breakfast was quite plain for the price. The hot water was intermittent but the staff was helpful in fixing this. And the hotel, though beautiful, was a bit loud when people used their keys to get into their rooms at night. These are minor issues compared to the benefits.

Lovely Hotel with Kind People

Pros: Everyone there was very friendly and kind. They greeted you with a smile every time they saw you. I wish I had noted down their names so I could thank them individually. They were willing to go out of their way to help you solve your issues and worries. In the hotel, everyone is equal, and every staff member can make their own decisions. The room was huge and comfortable. The bathroom was spacious too. I appreciate that they support sustainability and do not encourage single plastic use. They welcome you with a cold drink and a towel. The overall design and concept are exceptional, as the place is adorned with statues of Buddha and other symbols. There are two beautiful pools to enjoy. Highly recommended, and I will definitely stay there again when I visit Siem Reap!

Pros: Our special thanks to the People by the Comunity staff. Everyone of them, without an exception, is helpful, kind and full of smile. They even upgraded our room before we came. We felt so welcomed like we were in our own house! Facilities, atmosphere, cleannes and food are 10 out of 10. They help you rent bikes or motorbikes if you need. Also there are always tuktuks available right outside. We wish all the best to People by the Community family. We will definitely stay here when we visit Siem Reap again in the future.

Not the boutique experience I expected

Cons: I was happy to read about the background principles of the hotel in the leaflet in the room but felt uncomfortable being told this information in depth at check in without the option to decline .When I reach a hotel after a long commute I want to check in as quickly as possible ,be told anout the jotel facilities and see my room . They have a no plastics policy which is admirable but we were offered no alternative to fill from the dispensers.The rooms should at least have glass reussable bottles .

Pros: We were there when People by The Community were in charge, and they gave us the best welcome and advice. Mr Solee drove us with his tuktuk to all temples (small and big tour) the entire day, it was amazing

Pros: Beautiful hotel and lovely community of people that tries to do some good (they provide free clean water to refill for anyone, not only for guests). Great atmosphere. We will stay with them again if we have the chance. Rooms are very clean. The bathroom was excellent (both shower and bathtub). Super nice rooftop pool.

Lovely hotel and staff, highly recommended.

Pros: Loved our stay here, the staff were so helpful and friendly that we extended our stay by 3 days.

Cons: A little difficult to find the hotel on arriving the first time. Its old name (Cyclo Boutique Hotel) is still shown at the front so a little confusing.
