About The Curtis-A DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Hotel

Fresh and brimming with pop-culture kitsch, the Curtis, a DoubleTree Hotel, gives Our guests a dose of fun, with free Wi-Fi thrown in. The 16-story, 336-room hotel is one of Our guests' favorites in all of Denver. Each uniquely named floor has a different retro-pop theme (Floor 13 is called "dun, dun, dunnnn!"). Rooms are decidedly up-to-date, with flat-panel TVs, iPod speaker systems and free Wi-Fi. If you can tear yourself away from the retro gift and candy shop, you can work out in the fitness room or catch up in the 24-hour business center. The Curtis is about fun and whimsy, though, so take in the inspired decor, and perhaps try a meal at the on-site restaurant. It's 100-percent non-smoking here, but feel free to bring Fido along. Valet parking is available. The Curtis, a DoubleTree Hotel, is located just steps from the action of LoDo (Lower Downtown), Denver's popular entertainment district. Denver Center for the Performing Arts, the largest theater complex west of the Mississippi, is just a block away. The Sixteenth Street Mall's open-air shopping will satisfy your urge to spend. The City Park is a 10-minute drive east, where you'll find the Denver Zoo and the renowned Denver Museum of Nature and Science. It's an easy five-minute walk to the Colorado Convention Center, and Denver International Airport is 25 miles away. Note that parking downtown is tough, but available for a fee at the hotel.

Very Poor
Pros: The location is great.
Cons: The entire hotel smells like sewer gas, or like a grease trap that has not been cleaned. It permeates the entire hotel, the bar and eating area, and especially the parking areas. It's disgusting and unacceptable. I would encourage all to avoid.

Pros: Really unique hotel in the heart of downtown Denver. Amazing stay. Wish I stayed longer!
Cons: They advertise outside space but it's through a conference room that is usually locked. Would be amazing to have access to outside space and/or a pool

Pros: the bed was super comfy....and the location is awesome. Cookies are good.
Cons: room not very clean....broken cabinetry door to mini fridge location (which tells you they didn't clean the fridge or they'd have noticed it....it completely fell off the hinge) and coffee maker with old coffee in it.

Wonderful
Pros: Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Hotel was very clean, other than an issue I found in our bathroom.
Cons: They must have had a water leak because on every floor there were fans/dehumidifiers and the same room number was out of service. Our bathroom looked clean but when I went to shower, I found a bar of soap/hair on the soap holder. This made me second guess
