About Caesars Entertainment Brand Hotels

Formerly known as The Promus Companies and Harrah’s Entertainment, the Caesars Entertainment Corporation was founded all the way back in 1937. It started when William F. Harrah opened a small bingo parlor in Reno, Nevada which was extended to Stateline, Nevada where he also formed Harrah’s Lake Tahoe. In 1972, the company made its way into the American Stock Exchange, making it the first casino group to ever land a spot on the New York Stock Exchange. In 1980, Holiday Inn took over Harrah’s Inc. for $300 million. This was the best offer the original company received after William F. Harrah’s death in 1978.

The modern-day company now going by the name Caesars Entertainment was created in the 1990 as The Promus Companies. In 1995, Promus decided to continue the growth of Harrah’s Entertainment to add value to their businesses. In 2005, Harrah’s acquired Caesars Entertainment, Inc. for $10.4B marking their biggest expansion. At this point, the CEO of Harrah’s was Gary Loveman. He was the leader of the brand until 2015 and he experienced the privatization of the company in this period. In 2010, the whole corporation was renamed as Caesars Entertainment Corporation still under his reign.

Great hotel.

Pros: Loved everything about this cute boutique hotel. I would definitely come again!

Very poor service that did...

Pros: Location is great. Rooms have a good style.
Cons: First, they did not honor the confirmed booking through Booking. Com, saying that one of the two rooms had been cancelled. We did not cancel. We showed the confirmation at registration and we were told they could not accommodate us because there were no available rooms. So we had to pay more to upgrade our room to accommodate three adults. Then we had to book a second room for the second night when there was one available. The sink in the room had flaking residue and was not clean. This morning, my wife and I moved into the second room. The sink has a sizable chip out of the bowl as well as cracks. The outlet in the sink area has no cover plate, exposing the wiring. The wall on the outside has obvious water damage that has been covered over with poor spackle job and paint. The heat was on in the room when we arrived and was set to 84 degrees. Again, we had to pay more for this room because they did not honor our confirmed reservation. We called down to the front desk at 10:30p. To ask for 2 pillows. We called again at 11:00 to find out where the pillow was and were told that 'the' porter was helping another guest and then would bring the pillows up. At 1130p, we called again, and were put on hold. After 10 minutes we tried calling back. No answer from the front desk. At 1150p, still no pillows nor a call. I went down to the desk at midnight. I was informed that the porter had told them there were no pillows to be had on the property. Anywhere. But they told me they knew this at 11p. I asked why no one thought to give us a call. The response was that the manager had refunded our resort fee of $56. I asked when they were going to tell me that, and the manager walked out. She gave me the same story, with the addition that she was not made aware of the situation until after 1145p. When I stated that I thought I had a right to be pissed, the manager said "everyone has a right to be pissed" which came across as callous and a bit condescending.

Not friendly for work travelers,...

Pros: Good location, small enough to avoid all the huge hotels, easy to move inside
Cons: Not friendly for work travelers. Internet not working and only available for 2 devices per room, pretty dissapointing. 3 times phone calling to reception without answer, obliged me to go down personally to reception to solve my issues.

Don’t stay here!!!

Pros: Water pressure was great … location was excellent
Cons: The property is showing a lot of wear & tear. Not very clean . Very noisy location . They have white noise machines to drown out the noise. Staff not very helpful . You cannot get a cab at the property, you have to go to the Flamingo. Very limited food options. I would never stay there again , it’s supposed to be a boutique hotel but very few perks!

Poor
Never again

Pros: Check in was fast
Cons: Room was dirty, we were placed Right outside the elevator even though I had expressed concern about noise, casino tables were hardly open. There was hair on the toilet seat when we arrived and spots of blood on the wall by the vanity. Just disgusting.

Disappointing
Great location. Terrible value for...

Pros: Location is fantastic. Design language is neat - dark, sultry, moody, French. Housekeeping and front desk staff were very nice and helpful.
Cons: The price paid for the room was not at all good value. At $450+ per night, I expect the room to be meticulously maintained. Instead, it was covered in layers of dust wherever one would not normally touch; the desk and bedside table surfaces were clean for sure, BUT furniture and the TV and the interior of the wardrobe were covered in a thick layer of dust in several places while others were not as bad. Fabric surfaces of the furniture were stained and badly worn. The “leather” couch in the room, while a nice touch and great addition, was in bad shape and really beat up. Lighting was utterly insufficient to be practical. I get the dark decor and the sultry mood setting but the lighting must still at least be enough to be useful. Moreover, however the room’s finishes and the property in general are not at all well or properly maintained. Bathroom fixture finishes were peeling away revealing the basic chrome beneath, fixtures themselves were leaking. Doors were not properly hung, and floorboards were broken and out of place. The ironing board was less than desirable for use in terms of its visual appearance. The room also faced a giant digital signboard that was blindingly bright and the blackout curtains would not close fully and the coveted Las Vegas Boulevard Strip view that they charge a hefty premium for and which would have been great at one point has been mostly blocked by the signboard and the retail building that has gone up in the front courtyard of The Horseshoe Casino next door. Casino staff were unpleasant, unkept and unhelpful the vast majority of the time we spent there. I wouldn’t stay here again. The Luxor was cheaper and rooms are in better shape and even they have maintenance issues. The Cosmopolitan would be an immensely better value for money even if a few $ more.

Cons: The room was not very clean, and looked like it's not maintained well (dents, scratches, and chips in random places). There was dust everywhere. The floors were dirty. The curtains were broken. The HVAC was not cold enough. Rust on the bathroom ceiling.

Cons: I didn't like that I had to pay extra to check in 2 hours early, even when my room was ready.

Never again

Pros: Check in was fast
Cons: Room was dirty, we were placed Right outside the elevator even though I had expressed concern about noise, casino tables were hardly open. There was hair on the toilet seat when we arrived and spots of blood on the wall by the vanity. Just disgusting.
