Cons: Ive stayed with them before and it was really good last time, so expected the same quality but this time, felt the building has been run down. Probably got hit by covid hard. Our aircon barely worked and the beds felt qorn out (can feel the springs)

Pros: Position nearby the bus stop. Room was basic but comfy and quiet. Staff was very kind. A no-frills hotel, perfect to relax after a busy day in Singapore.

Cons: Despite Booking handling the payment, the day before our stay a certain amount of money was on hold on our credit card by the hotel. The amount was only pre-authorized and eventually got released 30 days later.

Cons: Main issue with the property was that prior to attending they completed a card charge for the full amount of the booking, then on arrival to the hotel was informed I had to pay the full amount again as this charge would have immediately been released by their bank and should be returning to my account. This charge was taken from my account and held by their bank for 7 days. I had to open a dispute with my bank to get the funds released, the issue was that their bank had not released the funds as it was supposed to. In future I would recommend that if this hotel is doing card charges of the full amount of the booking, change your policy and just take the actual payment a day prior rather than a card charge AND a full payment when a customer arrives at the hotel. $215AUD is a significant amount to have missing from my account for over a week. I found it pretty stressful having to follow-up getting these funds back myself for the week post the stay. Ive travelled extensively, used booking.com for years, and never experienced a card charge that a) was the full amount of the stay, or b) wasnt returned immediately after checking the validity of the card. Otherwise found the night front desk pretty unhelpful, they gave a really poor explanation of why they do this. Only one universal power point in the room.
