Pros: Everything was fine and close to downtown, Romantic zone and Malecon.

Cons: Air did not work very well.

Pros: The location is great and the staff were very friendly. Wifi and daily cleaning were decent, and the roof deck is very pretty.

Cons: Rooms are old and run down. "Pool" is 1-foot deep. "Jacuzzi" is not heated. "Inner courtyard view" faced the inside of the building with no sunlight (not a courtyard). Hotel advertises itself as "family friendly", but puts toilet paper in locked cases and puts signs all over the room about not damaging property. This doesn't make any sense if the hotel is meant for families. The experience did not live up to the description.

I was on vacation in Puerto Vallarta for two weeks, so I wasnt going to let these two ruin it. The rooms need an upgrad

Cons: BEWARE OF THE CHECK IN PROCESS AND OVERCHARGING THE CUSTOMER! DO NO STAY HERE. The front desk male employee told me the hotel policy is to charge 500 pesos hold fee per room. I reserved and paid for two rooms on Booking.com. After a long flight, we settled into the rooms. Later that night, I checked my credit card and noticed the front desk employee had charge me 5500 pesos, per room which is about $320 usd. I approached the same employee to explain he had 1) overcharged me and 2) it wasnt a hold on my card it was an actual charge. I showed him the two separate charges for $320 and he said these charges werent caused by him or the hotel. It clearly showed the Suites Plaza Del Rio name on the two charges. He then lied and said well I had to charge you twice for 5500 pesos because both rooms werent paid for. I provided him with my booking.com invoice showing both rooms were paid and he even had the printed invoice attached to his documents. I could not believe he didnt just say I made a mistake instead he lied and said he didnt charge my credit card. After going back and forth he said I could speak to the hotel manager the next morning to resolve the issue. Literally 10 minutes I received a phone call inside my hotel room explaining that he had figured out the mistake he had made. The next morning I spoke to the hotel manager Eduardo who was dismissive and said the refund was issued to my credit card. This hotel has plenty google reviews saying they overcharge.

Pros: Great, quiet location central to Old Town Puerto Vallarta as well as Zona Romantica. Friendly and helpful staff. Air conditioning in bedrooms. Rooftop pool very nice.

Cons: Living room of suite a bit stuffy without air conditioning from bedrooms. Green wrist bands for security weren't very nice. Downstairs coffee at 8am was not too generous, maybe some pastries would also be nice.
