Pros: Staff and location were awesome...rooms are a bit dated but still worth the money. Parking is limited but definitely worth the price.

Cons: The hotel was really outdated, the room was very dirty, they never came to clean our room or give us new towels, even after asking for new ones. The rooms weren't clean, we had to go out and buy our own cleaning supplies to clean it. After it rained our room was flooded with water, and all they gave us was a roll of paper towel to clean it up with. The elevator smelled like someone peed in it and was never cleaned.

Great hotel for a quick...

Pros: Very good price for a quick beach trip. Pretty good distance from main beaches, so it wasn’t very crowded. We loved the balcony view. Pool is heated and there is direct access to the beach.

Cons: Pretty outdated- if you’re expecting something high end/fancy you will be disappointed. Something not mentioned in info is that daily room service is not provided- meaning they don’t clean and you have to request for extra towels, bath cloths, etc. when you are out. Due to this, I would not stay for a long period, but it worked just fine for our 3 night stay!

Pros: The location!!!! Their pool hours were great too!

Cons: Not as clean as I would’ve liked. Also their key cards for the rooms weren’t working when we checked in so we had no access until I went back to the lobby later to see if they had it because we were trying to go get something to eat (staff did not bring it to me) and when I asked for a roll of toilet paper it took them 3 hours.

Pros: The location was the only thing good about the stay.

Cons: The rooms were nasty! There were a few cockroaches and spiders in the room, hairs all over the bathroom, dirt/dust everywhere, and it smelled like B.O.. Also, the kitchen didn’t have any spoons or dish soap and only had one cup. The balcony looked like someone had thrown up out there and wasn’t cleaned very well. When we went to the pool you couldn’t swim without getting entangled in strangers hairs every few seconds. Needless to say we spent our time in the beach! Check-in is at 4:00pm and we got there at 3:30pm so I tried to check in 30 minutes early since their policy says they will try to accommodate early check-ins. Well, not only did we not get checked in early, they didn’t give us our room until 6:30pm! Then on check-out day, I called early to ask for a late check-out since ,again, their policy says to just ask…well they changed me a $10 fee for it which I didn’t even find out about until the next day! And no, I didn’t complain about any of the above mentioned things because I’m not that person…but this was just a ridiculous way to top it all off!

Pros: They overbooked and didn’t tell us. They then sent us to the Radisson. They didn’t notify us before we arrived. After we went to the Radisson and checked in Sugar Sands calls at 2 am after we already were sent away at 4 pm to tell us they overbooked. They were doing this to several people. It seems like they do this with the Radisson as a sister site and just overbook one and send people to the other. The decor is the same in both and they seem to be connected somehow. The Radisson was ok but this was not where I booked and not notifying us and moving us anyway without alerting Booking seems scammy.

Cons: They were over booked. Did not alert us or give us a choice about being moved to another hotel. The desk clerk was rude.
