Pros: The rooms are old school nice and nostalgic. The location could not have been better. Breakfast was awesome. The staff is super friendly and English is great.

Cons: I suppose the rooms could be upgraded, but from my point of view they are fine. I like the vibe. Not sure what else I can say. I liked it and it was a great value.

Cons: Avoid staying in this hotel, I have booked many hotels around the world and this is the "WORST" hotel I have ever come across. This is absolutely ridiculous that they were trying to make extra money and create difficulties for us during our check-in. When I booked Royal Hotel Saigon through booking.com, We paid for 2 Premium Deluxe Rooms for 4 guests, upon checking into the hotel, Van told us that the confirmation was for 1 guest per room and wanted us to pay an additional VND 700000 for 2 extra guests, We showed her our email and Booking.com confirmation showing 4 guests occupying 2 rooms but she did not accept our documents and we argued about this for half an hour and she did not offer any help, and asked me to call Booking.com, while we were tourists I made a long-distance international call to Booking.com for assistance and was contacted to clarify the matter. I strongly "do not recommend this hotel to anyone", I believe Im not the first victim, it ruined my entire trip in Saigon Last, the hotel was under construction and it was very noisy starting from 8.30am, there was loud drilling and hammering and the receptionist's English was very poor.

Good place to stay for the price

Pros: I enjoyed my time there. The staffs were so friendly and helpful. The place was convenient to walk around Nguyen Hue walking street. I liked the breakfast buffet there. It was quite tasty and there were so much to choose for breakfast.

Cons: The view from the window but that was not the hotel fault. That was an empty spot next to the hotel made my eyes busy.

Quick short stay in Saigon

Pros: Clean, comfortable and situated in great location. Good, attentive hotel staff too. Breakfast buffet spread was good.

Cons: Feels a little dated, probably due a refresh.

The best location

Pros: The hotel was in an excellent location, within an easy walk of the Post Office and other attractions. Close to restaurants and cafes, although we didn't go to any. The room was large and very clean, it exceeded my expectations. We had a shower over bath which was a bit difficult to get into as the bath was quite deep. They do have rooms with walk in showers so if this is an issue for you request a shower only room. Staff were super friendly and help. Breakfast was really amazing heaps of choices given it was a large hotel. Overall it was a really pleasant stay

Great value for money, great food, generous rooms

Pros: Very, very spacious room, super clean, fabulous breakfast buffet with lots of fresh, tasty, local dishes and fruit, eggs and pancakes to order. Delicious coffee, too. The hotel restaurant also does really high quality food. Super convenient, central location.

Cons: The rooms are poorly insulated so you can hear the neighbors in the hallway and next door if they are not very considerate.
