Tired 70's decor with zero...

Pros: Not much. Property was extremely out dated, most of the decor seemed to be from the 70's/80's- very run down. I will definitely never stay again.

Cons: The entire property looked to be run down 70's-80's decor. There was noticeable dirt and mold in the bathroom. The couch was dirty and worn out. The TV cable was not working. The ventilation system was so loud we turned it off. The stairs were worn out and splintered wood. There was no ice maker for guests. (We were told "there is an ice maker in your refrigerator- turn it on and in a few hours you will have ice". The pool was noticeably moldy and dirty. $445 for one night. Complete rip off.

Gut the place and start...

Pros: Location and staff. Staff was particularly friendly, but I think they’re overwhelmed trying to keep up with a property in decline.

Cons: Filthy and dusty everything. Whole place smelled like overused cleaning products and musty odors. My son has only moderate allergies and he sneezed and was miserable throughout the entire stay. Ceilings discolored and peeling. Rusty door frames. The stove handle came off in my hand when I tried to open it. Everything just generally sticky. Paint and mulch won’t fix this.

Cons: Breakfast was terrible. Eggs with cheese is not keeping up with the times. I like many people have a cheese alergy,which meant no breakfast for me. Not a great start for my day. When I mentioned it to the girl working the buffet,she stated well tomorrow were scheduled to have no cheese. How is that going to help me when I'm leaving that morning?? Not a smart thing to say to a guest! Also the pancake cooker didn't work. Her answer for that is-"Sometimes it doesn't work right". Seriously? I won't be staying here again!

Pros: We stayed at the Sonesta ES a few years back and liked the convenience, price, breakfast, kitchenette and fireplace.

Cons: This time there was no firewood in the fireplace. I didn't remember having to ask for it or buy our own when we stayed the last time.

Pros: The bed was comfortable had a nice kitchen

Cons: The description of the room said this suite offers a hot tub and fire place the suite did not have a hot tub and the fire place is a wood fire place with no wood and it didn't look functional and the hot tub and pool were so far away we had to drive to it and the hot tub didn't have enough water in it the water wasn't even going into the filter this is nasty

Kind of scary and surprisingly...

Pros: The pool area was great and the beds were comfortable.

Cons: The outside stairs leading up to the room were very dirty and falling apart. The room could have been cleaned much better. The kitchen was not stocked well, there weren’t any baking dishes to use for the oven. The breakfast was absolutely terrible.

Nice but should be cleaner

Pros: Nice kitchen and pool area, room was modern, functional kitchen, comfy king size bed. Nice to have lots of mirrors and a fireplace.

Cons: I had to buy lysol wipes to clean the room myself it needed it! Ants in the bathroom, cigarette butts all around the ground and never once saw room service for clean sheets and towels.

Adequate

Pros: Good location near restaurants. Not too far from skiing at Stowe. Plenty of room in the suite. No noise from adjacent rooms or highway.

Cons: Room was a bit run down. There was some sort of ventilation fan that ran constantly and couldn’t be turned off.

Pros: Size of the room was perfect for what we needed. It was nice to have the kitchen with appliances. 2 bathrooms was perfect!

Cons: There was ketchup or something on the wall by the trash can. The remotes didn't work to the down stairs TV all three TVs needed to share the upstairs remote. The person cooking breakfast the second day. Burnt and over cooked the food, and refused to start the pancake machine. The hot tub was missing alot of water so the jets shot the water out of the water. The shelves in our refrigerator door were broken so could be used. They just fell out.

Cons: I paid for a room with a fireplace and wasn’t able to use the fireplace at all, my bathroom was completely filthy with soap scum in the shower, and the room stunk like an ashtray

Cons: The staff is rude my 1 year old was crawling around and found some pills next to the bed and almost put them in her mouth so the facility was not properly cleaned.

Pros: The price was good.

Cons: They rented a place for three and didn't even have clothing for the second bed. The dishes and towels and other things provided were for 1 or at most 2 people. When we asked for more as we were three they told us that they didn't have. We asked them why they rent a place for 3 if it is only for two, they just say "we don't know, that is how it is".

Cons: Dirty bathroom, old building, not properly maintained

Pros: I paid over $--- for a suite with 2 beds and a pullout sofa my room ended up being downgraded upon arrival and I ended up with a room with just one bed I had multiple people staying with me

Cons: I did not receive any kind of compensation for the price difference in the rooms and yet I still had to pay another $100 for a deposit on a room that had already been more then paid for

Pros: Everybody was very sweet!

Cons: I did not appreciate the fact that I WAS NOT made aware of the "Damages Security Deposit" that would be charged to my account until AFTER I entered my card information and booked the room and ONLY when I received a confirmation email was then made aware of the charge after scrolling two thirds of the way down to the bottom of the screen where I was fortunate enough to have seen the fine print... Furthermore, when asked about the charge at the front desk and how long after checking out i should expect the deposit to be returned to my card, I was given only vague answers and somewhat of a runaround. So its now been a week since I checked out of my room and returned home and I still have not received ANY notice from my bank, booking.com or Sonesta Suites regarding the return of my deposit or the receipt that I asked for upon checkout and was told that I BOOKING.COM would be emailing me one. To this current day, I have currently been charged $224.00 for a room that I signed a receipt that said I was paying $112.00... so I'm curious how that works is all!? And please just let me make one thing clear, I didn't even sleep in the bed or use the kitchen sink or shower. I sat on the couch and watched TV for 9hours, ate the complimentary breakfast and checked out so there isn't any reason for my deposit to be withheld and I'm not a smoker either.
