Cons: The reception lied about room availability trying to convince us booking a suite. Then lied about the upgrade giving us the same room we’ve booked at the reception through booking.com. The room is nice, however not very clean.

Pros: The breakfast had a good selection, however if you want local food, ie waffles and pancakes you pay more. Rooms and hotel is very clean and modern. Location is great and very central.

Cons: I work in the events industry and have stayed in many 5 star hotels, some of the best in the world. I would say the Radisson Blu in Brussels is far from 5 star and would not recommend it to any of my friends, family or clients. Upon arrival, we were not greeted. When approaching the concierge one of the staff barely looked at us and pointed towards his colleague. We made every effort to speak in French as a sign of respect and politeness. However, Concierge were not helpful, did not tell us the timings for breakfast or even direct us to our room. They didn’t offer to help with bags, they didn’t even answer the phone when we called from our room! We were also charged a 100 euro deposit, which is fine, but were not made aware prior to arrival at the hotel. Not only that, I have to wait a few days to have it refunded! When we entered our room we found that the safe was not working. We asked concierge if this could be fixed but it would not be fixed for the duration of our stay. The noise from outside of our room was very loud. The walls are paper thin, you shouldn’t expect to have a quiet nights sleep here. At breakfast, the staff were rude, making us very aware that breakfast would be finished at 1030 when we arrived at 1000. That is fine, breakfast has to finish at some point but the way it was said to us was just rude. A member of staff physically barged passed and moved me to place a bowl of melon, no “excuse me” or any politeness shown. For a 5 star hotel the coffee is horrendous and the fact that you have to pay extra for waffles and pancakes in Belgium is insane! To top it off, we watched staff clear the buffet while guests were still serving themselves food. Absolutely unnecessary and unacceptable for a so called 5 star hotel. Overall, for the price you pay and the 5 star reputation this hotel is not worth it at all.

Good hotel for business but...

Pros: It's definitely a premium hotel. The staff was friendy, the bar is nice. They have an interesting interior design. The bed was comfortable and the location is great, close to everything. However, compared to other hotels in the same price range, I found it pretty average.

Cons: The room was very small and very dark (they went with no ceiling lights but didn't compensate in other ways). There's a lot of stuff in the room so it felt very crowded.

Cons: We came to the hotel with 4 big luggage due to a long trip. Three staff members were standing iddle in the reception, but nobody came to help. When I was checking in, I asked why none picked up the luggage that you would expect. The response was that there is no bellboy working today ! The same happened while checking out. Nobody helped and me and my wife and I managed to carry the luggage to the taxi itself. Very arrogant staff ! I would never ever choose this hotel in my future trips to Brussels!!

Cons: They charge for drinking water beyond 2 small bottles, I stayed there 4 nights so was going to need more than that
