Stay was okay but I may not return as I expected more for the price.

Pros: The propertys location is its USP. Very well located and a sprawling area that offers beautiful views.

Cons: Felt the hospitality was good but not as classy as a 5 star. Also the food was quite average. The most disappointing thing was that there was a hair on my coffee tumbler. When I pointed out, there was just a hushed apology thats it. I would have expected the apology to be more sincere as this is a serious miss. This happened twice. Bad cleanliness is not something I expect when I pay so much. The same GRT Radisson near airport offered excellent service and food. The Radisson near airport also offered complimentary spa therapy. The spas ambience was also too good. Temple bay lacked in these aspects.

Shitty and Terrible Hotel

Pros: Location and the property overall is good but bit old and work out.

Cons: Its a long list: 1) had requested for king bed but they gave me a twin bed joined in between. 2) the food was pathetic and exorbitantly priced for the quality and taste. I had food outside at Adyar Anand Bhavan next to the hotel during my entire stay and they had offered a free complimentary lunch which I didnt want to even consider because its not about free stuff, its about quality and taste and experience 3) the service was no way like a 5 star but it was 2-3 star OYO. I regret choosing this hotel overall sheraton and intercon which were cheaper for my dates than this hotel. 4) buggies were not on time 5) when checking out I had to take my bags down one floor because they didnt come to pick bags after 3 calls and 30 minutes. 6) breakfast was very basic and again I limited myself to idli and dosa. Btw they screwed up on this one as well. They got me a dosa in 30 seconds. Which is they got me some already made dosa which one customer may have not consumed. It was a cold dosa. 7) at pool their menu has prices for wine bottles and then very small print says 58% extra vat for foreign alcohol. Am I there for my vacation or math? Never seen this pricing. Anyways the staff seems to forget if someone had requested for someone to attend. I wouldnt ever ever recommend this property to anyone. I dont blame the staff some were very sweet but I think this property doesnt deserve this pricing and rating. I dont need discount I just want them to know that they either need to up their standards or lower their price and deliver this service to their customers.

Cons: Rooms could have been better for the price. There was no mirror in the room (except the one in the bathroom). We couldnt access indoor activities due to maintenance.

Cons: Slow service. Outside of buffet wait time is almost one hour. Welcome fruits - please provide a knife not a cutlery knife that cannot slice any fruit except a banana! Reception billing - Friendly but poorly trained staff. Erroneous billing with multiple corrections of the final bill to reflect accuracy.
