This, dear travelers, was our maiden voyage into the realm of auditory hospitality. Upon arrival, the concept of service seemed as elusive as the fog on a sunny day in the city. Any mishaps encountered were swiftly attributed to the phantom menace, Booking.com, despite tangible evidence proving otherwise. It was a masterclass in deflection, one could say. The hotel's manager, Bonnie, possesses the remarkable talent of echoing guests' words with such finesse, one might wonder if she's a ventriloquist in disguise. Her artful dodging would be commendable if it wasn't for the sheer desire to actually resolve issues. For those daring to venture with their vehicles, be prepared for a wallet-thinning experience. The hotel's exclusive valet service ensures your car is treated to its own luxury stay, albeit at a cost that could rival a night's accommodation. As longstanding patrons of Marriott, this episode has prompted a period of soul-searching. We find ourselves questioning the loyalty that was once as steadfast as the Golden Gate Bridge. Breakfast enthusiasts be warned: the morning offerings extend no further than coffee and cookies. A Spartan feast that leaves one yearning for the most basic of continental spreads. Great location but bad staffed...

Pros: The location was great and the vacation club staff was super great in giving details, tips and even discount services to use during our stay. The room was very spacious and comfortable.

Cons: The front desk staff was not able to make an easy check-in process. In fact it made it far more complicated than it needed to be. Besides not finding our reservation with our driver license / ID on hands with full last name and all other information needed, they provided us a room key for an accommodation that was ALREADY BEING USED BY ANOTHER COUPLE. We ended up opening the room door and facing the other guests with almost no clothes on, as they were using THEIR OWN ROOM. It was an embarrassment for me and my wife that was completely avoidable with a minimum organization. Something that is hard to believe that Marriot accommodation system shouldn't be able to handle.

Pros: The location of the hotel is strategically located within proximity to the tourist attractions. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was comfortable with soft pillows. Our children loved the bed.

Cons: The light in the room can be improved as it was very dim. It makes it difficult to see especially when we need to pack our bags. Another issue we found was the noise came directly above our room as the occupant moved around during the night. First night, the noise happened around 1am and 4am on the second night.

Best experience at a hotel

Pros: Staff were extremely friendly from the moment I entered the hotel. I’ve traveled many places, and this was by far my favorite stay at a hotel. I slept comfortably, the room was very clean, and the shower was great.

Cons: You can hear noise through the walls very easily. Hotel provided complimentary ear plugs and an eye mask to mitigate this issue, which was nice.

Practical Hotel in Fisherman's Wharf

Pros: Spacious and modern room, functional and practical, morning coffee in the lobby, friendly service, excellent connections to public transport around, versatile fitness room. WLAN is promptly available, stable, and bandwidth fully sufficient. Room is modern and clean, daily housekeeping service.

Cons: A bit dark in winter (January) due to the relatively small window area with large shades. The window shades sometimes don't stay in place when closed. Two thirds of the desk ist taken up by an enormously large TV, which is bolted to the desk surface, so there is lmited space to work.
