Pros: Absolutely loved the gorgeous room and the out of this world 'Garden of Eden" bathroom with romantic spa tub with waterfalls and two kinds of showers. This was perfect for our wedding anniversary. The room had spectacular views of the cloud forest below. We LOVED the animal reserves with jaguars, monkeys, butterflies, birds, insects to touch, feeding the sloths, toucans, and hummingbirds and doing the night search for frogs with our flashlights. What an awesome experience of a lifetime. It was pricey to stay here for a couple days, but it was well worth it. The drive is mountainous and takes some time, but again, I would do it again in a heartbeat to stay here at this gem. Staff was genuinely eager to serve and so welcoming. We LOVED walking the well maintained paths and trails to the waterfalls. Absolutely breathtaking. If you love nature, waterfalls, and want to really get a feel for the beautiful interior of Costa Rica, come to Peace Lodge.

Cons: Breakfast was not included in the price. But... My non-alcoholic Lava Flow smoothy was delicious!! Also, the dinning room was elegant and beautiful, and the big luncheon lodge with buffet was open to the jungle, just so fun to be there.

Wished we could have stayed longer; great way to start our time in Costa Rica. Would recommend.

Pros: If you want to feel pampered and enjoy nature in style - Peace Lodge is the place to go. From the moment we arrived (at 10am) and were greeted with fresh Costa Rican coffee and given a full overview of the park and our room to the time when we sadly had to leave, everything and everyone was world class.

Cons: I can think of nothing that could have been better. The beds were comfortable, the balcony with hammock, hot tub and chairs (and visiting hummingbirds) was an amazing place to nap during the afternoon rain shower. The food and service in the restaurant was impeccable. And yet, there is nothing "stuffy" or "showy" about this place.

Paradise on Earth for nature and animal lovers

Pros: We had high expectations based on the pictures and reviews, but Peace Lodge has even exceeded them - it was all just amazing! The rooms are just like on the pictures, and the bathroom with the waterfall, plants and beautiful decoration blew us away. Beds were very comfy, breakfast outstanding and the staff super friendly and helpful. The heated pool with a view to the jungle was amazing and came in handy as it can be a bit chillier during the rainy season when we came. Big umbrellas are provided around the complex in case you are caught in the occasional showers of the day. The park offers so much to do that you can spend days there just to explore - feeding hummingbirds, rescued toucans and sloths was the highlight! Highly recommend the guided tour to explore the park, and the night frog tour was really fun offering great photo opportunities. The butterfly sanctuary is also very special, where you can just sit down and watch the butterflies fly around and feed on fruits and flowers. We were told that all the animals here are rescued and would not be able to live in the wild on their own, hence it does not feel like a zoo, but a sanctuary.

Cons: There is really almost nothing to say on the downside. Just know that the weather can change here literally every 5 min, so be prepared with clothing and expectations - it is in the cloud forest, where nights get chillier (the fireplace is brilliant, works easy and you can set a timer when it automatically switches off).

Breathtaking, relaxing, magical.

Pros: This property is phenomenal. We had a room the size of an apartment. The bathroom had two showers a spa tub; waterfall; double vanity and space for days. The bar fridge was fully stocked the balcony had a hammock and its own outdoor spa and waterfall too. The property is in the middle of no where and its best to drive yourself. The zoo is magical. .Views are breathtaking. Room also had a fire place you need it at night it gets cold. The hummingbird feeder at every room is a beautiful touch. The staff are friendly and you feel like they are your friend.

Cons: My only downfall is there are a lot of stairs. Stairs absolutely everywhere. So great for fit abled bodies but people with walking issues or knee problems will not find it easy

It was a peaceful family vacation with an ounce of the exotic, a quart of staff excellence, and 4 cups of luxury.

Pros: The grounds were lush and well-maintained. The addition of the animal sanctuary areas adds much value to the location. The roomsand especially the bathroomsare amazing!

Cons: There are A LOT of stairs.

Amazing experience in Costa Rica that should not be missed.

Pros: The Peace Lodge is expensive but has advantages to people staying at the lodge that are not easily seen on the website. It offers private tours not allowed to other visiting guests such as the bird feeding and night frog tour. You have access to the park before and after other guests not staying at the lodge. The price of admission is waived if you stay on the properties accommodations. For this reason it was an experience worth the price. It has been the highlight of our entire trip. We are so glad we stayed at the property.

Cons: It was great. Everything thing including the staffall were exceptional.
