    Never go back there

    Pros: Location
    Cons: Sink faucet leaked and soaked all my toiletries. The floor slopes in multiple directions. “Breakfast” was grey sausages, dry eggs, and stale bread out on a patio in 43 degrees.

    Would not visit again.

    Pros: The bed was comfortable. The room was clean.
    Cons: The TV didn’t work. Someone checked it out and asked if I wanted a new room. I said no thanks. I should have been offered at least a free breakfast. The door had such a big gap that I could hear everyone talking outside. The walk way to my room and the stairs had garbage on the ground.

    Pros: Location was ideal. Breakfast was a joke.
    Cons: Room cleaned better. Smoke detector was disconnected, towel bar fell off wall three times. Free breakfast was poor.

    Pros: Location near Del Mar station and Old Town
    Cons: Breakfast was terrible. Not even a spoon! The heater was really loud and blew cold air. We had noise above 221 all night! It was not as nice as it looked on the internet.

    Good for stopovers (1-2 nights)...

    Pros: Great location close to Old Pasadena and connection to freeways. Very good price compared to other accommodations at Pasadena. Staff were very friendly and responsive. Whole food market nearby.
    Cons: Rooms not as clean as I would have expected . Dirty sheets and towels. Don’t look at the mattress if you don’t want to be scared. There were a couple of broken items in the room, window blind, table lamp, ceiling paper, mentioned it to reception but they were never fixed. Room door is not good isolated. Reception staff offer though to change my room to another one.

    Disappointing

    A little disappointing.

    Pros: I was able to get an early check in. Room was clean. Desk clerk was friendly.
    Cons: Very restrictive policies: A $110 deposit, and only $100 back. A $10.00 charge for using Booking.com. or any third party site. Also if you want a second key card, you pay $5.00. No real breakfast. Coffee was made in the breakfast area 10 minutes late. I HAVE STAYED HERE BEFORE. THESE ARE NEW POLICIES WHICH THEY SHOULD ANNOUNCE IN ADVANCE. I WON'T STAY AGAIN

    Lots of potential...

    Pros: I was going to a convention at the Pasadena convention center and this was the perfect walking distance for me. The restaurant attached to the hotel was fantastic! Except for the surly guy that checked me in. All of the staff were extremely friendly and pleasant.
    Cons: There were some maintenance issues with the shower. The hot water was not. The hottest it got was tepid, every shower I got out of I was shivering. The top hinge on the shower door was coming off and the door wouldn't shut. Since I was a solo traveler. This was fine but if I was traveling with others it would have been a deal breaker. The knob to shift from tub to shower was also broken. I had to use my keys to pry it up so I could actually take a shower.

    It’s been better, very disappointing

    Pros: Accommodating staff
    Cons: The first room that was given to us, had a very strong smell of mold. There was mold on the walls of the bathroom and above one of the beds, with wallpaper rippled and coming down, it seemed that there was a leak. I went back to the office to change rooms and the staff didn’t seem to know that the room he assigned to us was bad. He did apologize and put us in a different room. The second room was decent, but the lighting in the bathroom was very dark, it took a long time for the water to get warm in the shower and the floor in room was sloped and uneven. Even the pool looked really dirty. This was disappointing as we have stayed here before and it was much better.
