Beautiful Parador high in the mountains.

Pros: The hotel is in a remote location high in the mountains overlooking a large lake. Large, well equipped room with a balcony that gave you a fantastic view over the surrounding mountains. The restaurant delivered excellent dinners and the biggest breakfast buffet we had ever seen. Excellent walking country. Really enjoyed our first stay in a Parador.

Cons: Unfortunately, because of the lateness in the season, the large pool was closed.

Probably worth a detour as it is up a long approach road but probably only in the middle of Summer

Pros: I asked clean room not quiet room. The room was not clean. There was much dust on the table, desk, and so on. And i asked twin beds, but there was one double bed.

Pros: Beautiful view of a mountain lake and of the swimming pool. Attractive inner courtyard-type lobby with a modern, stained-glass ceiling. Friendly staff. Easy parking around the building. Good value for the price. Good breakfast buffet with excellent breads and a spread of local cold cuts. Location is remote at the end of a winding mountain road so two main attractions are views and silence.

Cons: Compared to a generally high standard among Spanish paradores, our room was quite basic, generic and lacked character despite some artwork on the walls. No coffee maker or a kettle available in the room

A Hotel with a Great View

Pros: The reception staff were first class and helpful. The views from the front of the hotel were magnificent The dinner was good enough as they were serving so many tables due to a vintage car club staying there for 3 nights. Breakfast offered us a good selection.

Cons: Nothing serious that we can think of.

Pros: The size of the room. The views.

Cons: The restaurant is pricey and quality not great. It's a shame they left the parking bins full of debris on the ground for two days (although I mentioned it at reception) because the views from the entrance are excellent.

Pros: It was very peaceful and quiet, overlooking a large reservoir. Beautiful views. Very spacious room with balcony. Well appointed with good- sized bathroom and comfortable beds. There is an open air pool which was very welcome on a hot afternoon. Excellent dinner in hotel restaurant and very good breakfast the following morning. Plenty of parking .

Cons: Staff is far from 4*. Breakfast was great, there was one guy working well. Dinner though was disappointing. We came to eat and I told to waiter few times we want only one menu for my husband, because I am not hungry, would like to order some tapas. Waiter's job would be advice, not sell most expensive dish in menu to be thrown away. He told - this menu is for two people, he did not tell we must order minimum two, which is quite different. It is also not mentioned in menu that we must order minimum two, fix me if I'm wrong? So it was not clear at all that we order two menus for almost 100 instead of one for almost 50, when I was not hungry at all as ate in local restaurant before, which was so much better comparably. (Would definitely advice to go to local restaurant about 7km away - was fantastic instead of eating in hotel restaurant ) To conclude - we paid almost 100 for main dish to be wasted. It is a pitty animal was killed and not eaten. When asked for take away, waiter threw the empty boxes on the table, when passing by, which is also not very normal service ( there were like 3tables eating at the time, so he was not very busy). Helping staff in restaurant were kind and fine though. Second thing - , check out is 12h and 11h both of our cards were not working anymore and cleaning lady let us into our room. I kept mine in a bag, far from phone, so it does not make sense both cards stopped working at the same time because of phones, like we were explained afterwards in reception, as were kept separate. It stopped working day of check out, at exact same time. I wonder if cleaning staff knows the guest so well that can just let them in the rooms as well?

Great location, but a severe inattention to service.

Pros: Location. The building and interior common areas were nice. The rooms were lower than average for a parador. Quite isolated, not good for food choices, because the food at the hotel was sub-par. Nice pool but closed too early for a swim after dinner.

Cons: Sub-par food service. By 10 AM on Saturday morning, the breakfast ran out of money supplies, despite having an closing time of 11 AM. The hotel was fully booked that weekend, and they were surprised and understaffed. The initial cleaning supplying of the room lacked in several areas, particularly no toilet paper! The bathtub was not wide enough to fit anyone but a small child the water temperature during the shower varied considerably.
