Not an adult only hotel - we were mis-sold and very disappointed.

Pros: Cocktails in Bar Verde were delicious! The heated pool was almost too warm at times, but no problem, just potter over to the cooler pool!

Cons: This is not a truly adult only hotel. It is part of a much larger family-friendly resort, and it wasnt possible to walk from our room to the pool or restaurants etc without walking through the main areas. Evenings in the adult only cocktail bar were ruined by the kids entertainment noise from the level below - yes, including the Hokey Cokey and Baby Shark at 9pm! It was louder than I would have wanted any music playing, then add hundreds of happily screaming kids! This was not what we expected when booking an adult only hotel. I complained at the hotel, and was told management would get in touch. They didnt. I went back a few days later and was sent to speak to someone in the main hotel reception (full of kids). She refused to accept that our stay was not adult only and offered no sympathy or solutions. We had been offered to change rooms, but this would not have solved the issues - the two adult only restaurants are different sides of the hotel, so whichever area your room is, youd have to cross the main area, and the main noise issues were when in the pool/restaurant/bar areas. I tried to complain after returning, but have been pretty much ignored by the hotel management. I escalated via booking.com, who were very helpful and contacted the hotel direct. I did get a call from the hotel, but still declining to accept my complaint. Other things which could have been better included the food (it was ok, but nothing special), the wifi (which was non-existent) and the maintenance of the facilities (a few bits not working/looking tired such as hand dryers and sun beds). It was so disappointing to have wasted our money for our one week of the year when we had hoped to really relax, switch off and unwind. If youre looking for a decent adult only holiday, I strongly suggest you look elsewhere.

Pros: The staff - especially at the restaurants - were fantastic. Reception staff could have been more helpful. It was very clean and comfortable though.

Cons: The air conditioning unit in the room leaked, the shower gel holder was broken, the hot tub jets didn't work and the safe was broken. The leak and safe were fixed by staff, eventually. Room looked a bit tired in places.

Pros: The staff were very polite, helpful, kind and friendly people. The food were delicious and varied. Everybody can choose what they want. The wine and coctail selections are excellent. The room was very clean and well-equipped. There is no needed to bring a hair dryer with you, because it works very well! The Playa is walking distance. Other beach can be easyly reach.

Pros: The food especially in the buffet restaurant by the pool was really exceptional with it's fresh fish or meat everyday and the other food prepared. The breakfast was also really delicious, freshly squeezed juice etc.

Cons: Some entertaiment in the evenings on the level would have been good.

Early summer holidays

Pros: The staff was great; in particular, Marianna at the Royal level reception, Dan at Atlantico Restaurant service, and Gabriele at the Atlantico Bar took the extra mile to make our stay as comfortable and nice as possible. The quality and variety of food was really good. The room was spacious with complimentary drinks upon arrival.

Cons: It wasn't as quiet as expected, with noise starting from 08:00 onwards due to chatter and staff pushing carts outside our room. The "balcony" outside our room, was more of a designated area of a communal pathway, offering little to no privacy with other guests leaving their towels on the sunbeds allocated to our room.

Pros: This was my second stay in this hotel and I had a great time! The rooms are very comfortable, the pool area is lovely, the food is wonderful and I think it is exceptional value for the quality. The service is exceptional- youre very well looked after in the restaurant and the rooms get cleaned twice a day. I couldnt have been happier- I will definitely be back. Because the adults only area is quite small you easily get chatting to the other guests but theres also enough space to be on your own if thats what you prefer. Ideal for a solo traveler.
