Pros: The guy that worked on the hotel for fixing proplems were very polite and friendly. The resepsion and outside of the hotel looked really nice. One guy at the hotel in the resepsion was polite and friendly.

Cons: The staff didnt look to happy and could have been a bit more friendly. It was a very bad smell some places in the hotel. The faucet was blocked and the walls were not nice as in the pictures, paint had started to fall of some places. The pillows was so hard to sleep on. For two days it was ok to stay but wouldnt stayed longer.

When they give a discount, they dont say that it is for the basement rooms

Pros: It was in a good neighbourhood

Cons: I was placed in the room at the basement with a lot of humidity and noises from upstairs, for sure it was not the room it was shown when I booked it, I asked and I had a reservation for two separate beds and I was placed in a room with two beds that were attached. Like one. I asked for a different room and the front desk girl told me that every other room was booked, so they couldnt change my room, and eventually I stayed there for a couple of nights and I will say that it was not comfortable

Cons: Black mould in the bathroom, no water pressure, the room wasnt like the pictures, no access to balcony (window screwed shut), poor room layout literally no room to move.

Rude staff that should maybe check when their guests are checking out before they knock twice in one morning for houseke

Pros: Reasonably close to a tube station and local amenities.

Cons: Our room was down in the basement next to the breakfast room and I was woken up both mornings of our stay at 6:30 and then kept awake for the rest of the morning by the comings and goings of people using the breakfast room and the incessant slamming of the door. The staff seemed to congregate outside and were loud so I had hardly any sleep on the hard uncomfortable bed. Housekeeping knocking persistantly despite the do not disturb sign on the door did not help my stay either.

Pros: It looked nice from the outside and wasnt too far from an underground

Cons: The room was not suit for purpose, way too small and for a couple there was no space for two people. The room was dirty, cracked skirting boards, marks on the walls, mucus/blood splats on the wall next to the bed where people have been coughing. Towel rail and hooks and the back of the door were loose and coming off. Chipped and cracked tiles in the bathroom which were loose and could cause an injury. Shower was dirty, still had shower gel in the bottom from previous guest. The bathroom sink didnt drain away. Loose plug sockets and light switches which is a very dangerous.

Pros: Had a fantastic 1 night stay when visiting Plymouth for a football match. The owner and staff at the hotel are super friendly and very helpful. The location was ok for most things but was a decent walk over to the football ground. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. Breakfast was lovely and good value for money.

Cons: Id struggle to pick something I didnt like. Maybe the room layout was a little squashed compared to modern hotels but that is dictated by the layout of this fabulous old building

Not a four star Hotel, an uncomfortable stay

Pros: very clean, good location, friendly staff

Cons: 4 star Hotel but room was tiny double bed only accessible from 1 side radiator stuck on so room was Unbearably hot window only opened a couple of inches. Bathroom very small, shower cubicle difficult to move in. Sink tap loose & almost falling off. Plug sockets not working and very loose. We would definitely not return.
