Not qt all 4 star hotel and for sure the money are way above ehat this hotel is offering. It is a maximum3 star s hotel.

I dindt received initially the booked room when I arrived in the evening, w/o being informed by the stuff(smaller room, in the attic, cold, bathroom conditions poor, one single bed, bad clothing with hair on it) 2. I had received the correct room acc my booking only after I claimed it at the front desk and succeeding to make them do a discount for the wrong room 3. Restaurant: for dinner: werent paying attention to the fact that you are still at the table and maybe you need something. They do not know how to be nice with the guests 4. Restaurant: breakfast: with 1 hour before closure of it, no more milk for coffee, cold scrambled egs, wasnt done any refill for the rest of the breakfast choices, noisy qnd chaotic, not quite clean 5. For front desk, when you want to pay, pls check twice the invoice, for me was 3 times wrong 6. Still for front desk: make sure that they understand correct that you need also the breakfast for you staying( if you want it) to avoid bad surprises as I did..

If the rooms ventilation worked well and were updated, this hotel would have been way better.

Pros: Staff were courteous and helpful. Ample breakfast. Great location. Newly renovated and modern toilet.

Pros: Perfect location for the conference at the Forum next door and a short walk to the lovely old town. Clean and modern rooms. Nice and friendly staff.

Pros: Nice and clean hotel. Location close to the Castle, isolated place. Breakfast was good. Parking.

Cons: The guy at the reception recommended a restaurant, that was closed a month ago. I came quite late and the hotel restaurant closed at 21 instead of 22 how it is indicated on the internet site of the hotel. The guy at breakfast didnt allow me to seat outside for no reason. The staff needs some training.

Pros: The replacement room - see below - was a spacious 2nd floor (one set of steps up from ground floor) with pleasant light decor and vastly better. It's on this room (and the general service we received) that we've rated the hotel. We have stayed there before and been very satisfied.

Cons: The first room we were offered was on the top floor with just two skylights in (effectively) an attic, with dark coloured walls - clearly unsatisfactory.

Walking Distance to the Best of Ludwigsburg

Pros: The Nestor Hotel in Ludwigsburg is right in the middle of the town's best attractions. From the hotel, we walked along the tree-lined alley to the Palace and its gardens, Marktplatz, and Rathausplatz, where we enjoyed the Weinlaube wine festival. The hotel is also walking distance from restaurants and right next door to the Forum.

Cons: A coffee machine and/or tea kettle in the room would be nice.
