Really disappointing, small rooms, no communication nor reaction to request.

Cons: My recent stay at Maya Hotel in Sanur, Bali left me thoroughly disappointed and frustrated. The experience was marred by deceptive advertising, inadequate accommodations, and a complete lack of responsiveness to guest concerns. 4 weeks after the stay I am still in discussion how to rectify the situation. The problems started right at check-in when we were given a room that was nothing like what was marketed. We had specifically booked a room with double king-size beds, expecting ample space and comfort for our family of five. Instead, what we found was a single room with two beds that were nowhere close to the promised king-size dimensions. This false advertising set the tone for our entire stay. Attempting to rectify the situation, we requested a larger room to comfortably accommodate our group. Regrettably, our plea was met with a cold response, claiming that no alternative rooms were available. Even worse, our efforts to explore feasible solutions were met with indifference. When I suggested the possibility of relocating to another hotel, the staff's lack of flexibility was disheartening. Their sole response seemed to be a reminder of the hotel's cancellation policy, leaving us with no recourse. Adding to the frustration was the agonizingly slow and ineffective communication process. It took an unreasonably long time to get responses from the staff, and even when they did reply, they failed to adequately address our concerns or offer viable solutions. This sluggish communication further exacerbated our discontent. I must also highlight the unhelpful attitude of Mr. Ngurah and Mr. Arthawan, who displayed a complete unwillingness to cooperate or find a resolution. Their dismissive behavior and lack of empathy were inexcusable, especially given the hotel's claimed 5-star status. In summary, my stay at Maya Hotel was characterized by false advertising, cramped and inadequate accommodations, and a distressing lack of responsiveness to guest concerns.

Nice resort but not family friendly in our experience.

Pros: Beautifully designed building, good food.

Cons: Room wasnt ready until after 2pm so we were waiting in lobby. Then we were running a little late (5 mins) after check out and got a pushy phone call, didnt find it very family friendly. Stayed in better resorts, this resort would be better for couples.

Fair value for a fair price.

Pros: Very clean - and clean means clean!! Good location to many relaxing restaurants and shops.

Cons: The own bar was a bit unorganized and slow. But still high level. Was a good stay.

Pros: The location of the property was brilliant, you are in the middle of the main street so great accessibility to all of the restaurants, and the hotel backs straight on to the beach so perfect for those mid day walks. The restaurants all served a variety of delicious foods, the buffet style breakfast was great as you have the option to have certain foods cooked fresh for you and again the selection was fantastic you would never get bored and always find something to eat. The staff were amazing so friendly and welcoming. If you ever needed anything they would be there to help and resolve it quickly! Would definitely stay here again!

Pros: Walking distance to shops and restaurant. Felt safe around there. Hotel backs to a beach that is nice and can swim in.

Cons: Lobby was dark. Service not as good as other resort in Bali. Cost was so much higher than other resort in Bali and for what you get, no breakfast included. They deactivated our 2 rooms as soon as 12pm hit. Not checking with us if everything is out of the room and all is ok?

Well designed hotel in an ideal location.

Pros: Breakfast was great, and all the facilities were good. The hotel was very busy with families, so if you want a quiet retreat this might not be the place for you. TV channel choice and reception was terrible. Otherwise a lovely hotel.

Cons: TV channels and reception - would expect much more for such a good hotel. Also got very busy with families visiting, so it felt a bit too crowded.

It was the prefect location to relax and unwind.

Pros: Well located, clean and modern facilities serviced by friendly and helpful staff. There is a large selection of food at breakfast and the afternoon tea is a nice touch and we loved the Treehouse Bar with the half price cocktails. We booked the Couples Retreat spa package which wasnt cheap, but the quality of the treatments was superb and was value for money. We also booked the Balinese cooking class which we loved.

Cons: There was nothing not to like.
