A stunning boutique hotel that...

Pros: The location was perfect and the gardens are stunning. There was so much light coming in from the windows that made our room feel so light and airy. Michael from the restaurant was so friendly and referred to us by our names which made you feel like you were dining at a friend's place.

Cons: No atmosphere in the front room where the fire place is - some music would have been good.

Pros: Lovely property renovated tastefully and true to the original era. The staff are exceptional. Good, genuine and friendly service.

Cons: Loved everything! Alas, we chose a night when the restaurant was closed.

Pros: Location was very pretty but a bit far from city centre. Dinner was excellent but expensive. Staff were very helpful and hospitable.

Cons: Bedroom was very small, TV and streaming didn't work, and it was generally a bit tired and therefore overpriced.

Pros: The location was good - quiet, with a lovely garden and the golf links across the road. The staff were pleasant, the bed was comfy and the bathroom was clean though quite small.

Cons: Because it is an older style building, noise transmitted easily through the walls, and whole conversations could be heard in the next room. The bathroom was very small and cramped. There was no waste basket in the main room, only in the bathroom. Although it was booked as a double, there was only a single-serve coffee plunger in the room, no espresso pod machine which seems to be standard in most hotel stays these days. Couldn't find free-to-air on the TV, only cable. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed on the night we stayed, as it was a Sunday.

Pros: The breakfast was fantastic. The staff were exceptional, took us to our room and showed us where everything was. Bed was comfy.

Cons: It was noisy in the hallway and the chair in the room was weird and not at all comfortable to sit on. A nice comfortable chair would be great.

Will definitely be back!

Pros: The staff at Links House were exceptional, going out of their way to accommodate our needs. The accommodation is charming, and the restaurant serves some exceptional food. The gardens were a delight to walk around and explore and we loved the little souvenirs available to be bought.

Cons: While it was pretty tasty, there was only one breakfast choice available. Those with dietary requirements may need to warn kitchen staff ahead of time.
