relaxation in beautiful and tranquil surroundings

Pros: the outdoor pool was lovely to swim in, the grounds are lovely, the lounge area was very relaxing and comfortable-we had dinner there. The billiard room is great.

Cons: The staff were a bit unaware of some things e.g. that there were towels for the use of people swimming at the pool, that there were changerooms at the pool. The breakfast was a bit more limited than other breakfast buffets.

The locality & all the staff were exceptional & should be commended. The rooms need to be renovated.

Pros: Location was amazing, walking distance to the 3 sisters and the hotel & the grounds are externally beautiful.

Cons: So disappointed in the rooms, they were old & in need of a renovation, very tired & outdated, especially for the price charged for the room.

Cons: We didnt want the breakfast but we did have dinner at the three restaurants on the premises. I wish you had a cafe where people can buy a good coffee without having to have breakfast. More hangars in the closet.

Pros: Exceptional standard, huge bedroom and en suite, expansive lounge area and great indoor and outdoor pools. Breakfast full of choice and all food fresh, well presented and delicious

Pros: The hotel premises are comfortable and within a few hundred metres of Echo Point lookout. Darleys restaurant is very pretty and the food is very good.

Cons: The service is nowhere near the level it needs to be for a hotel charging $700 per night for a basic double room on the weekend. I wouldnt return. A couple of examples illustrate the problem. After dinner on Saturday night we went into the lounge for a drink. At most there were 3-4 other tables occupied and a serving staff and barman. Our table was dirty, but the staff member didnt come to clean it - so my wife got the nearby cloth and cleaner and did it herself. This was acknowledged by the staff member. No one brought a bar menu, so we had to go to the bar and order and wait for the drinks to be prepared. But this was nothing compared to the chaos of breakfast on Sunday morning. We turned up at 9am to be told we could not have any of the 3 empty tables as they needed to be cleaned and set, we could wait in foyer or go and sit in the lounge. We took the first option concerned we would be forgotten otherwise. It took 15 min for the single table server to do so. Our coffee orders (taken when we first arrived) took 35 min to arrive - by which time we had finished our breakfast, itself pretty modest as things werent be replenished quickly. It may seem churlish but for a hotel of this price range to be serving sandwich bread out of a plastic bag at breakfast isnt on. SO either tether are not enough staff, or the staff are not properly trained. Either way I dont think this hotel represents fair value.

Pros: Breakfast great.

Cons: When room booked on line, the dual share was 2 queen size beds. The actual beds were singles.

Have stayed there previously on a few occasions and unfortunately it needs an update

Cons: For the price of the accommodation iI was dissatisfied staff expected me to pay for my meal that was incorrectly entered into their system told me to go find parking myself when their car park was full indoor pool was not heated not many options for in room dining shower head had low pressure tray charge for in room dining when prices are already inflated Vacuum was just sitting in the hallway under stairs for my entire stay

Pros: Only 10-15 minutes walk to Echoes point, very convenient for watching sunset and star night. Luckily, we were able to see double rainbow after raining in Echoes point. Room is clean and comfortable .

Cons: The Gym room is not bigger than I expected. Finch dropping can be found on outdoor swimming pool, I understand it's not the management false because it's outdoor, at the end we swam in indoor swimming pool.

Enjoyable but, accomodation was tired looking considering it cost $450 per night.

Pros: We like Lillianfels as we have stayed there a few years ago and enjoyed it. The staff are lovely. The decor needs to be updated its looking tired. As it has been taken over now by Spicers it may get a facelift. But I feel it is overpriced at the moment.

Cons: Just that it needs a decor refresh and that they have instant coffee in the room not a capsule machine which most hotels use now.

Not great value for money, should have been half the cost. Probably wouldn't recommend to others.

Pros: Some staff were nice, room was alright, hotel itself nice and beautiful grounds, just not worth the $500/night price tag.

Cons: Room was not ready at check-in time/had to wait about an hour. Staff tried to be nice about it/offer a glass of sparkling wine, but this wasn't a great first impression being that we paid $500/night at this "5-star" hotel. Outdoor pool area not really maintained - dirty dishes, used towels everywhere, duck poop on the tiles around the pool. Gymnasium less than ideal - essentially a closet with a few machines in it. Sauna/steam room/hot tub inside the change-room - not a great relaxing space to sit in a hot tub while other people are changing. No shuttle to village shopping area, makes it difficult to find transport to shops/restaurants if you relied on train to get to the hotel. Buses not frequent/Ubers not common & expensive. Food for purchase at hotel very expensive. 3 black coffees cost $18. Basic coffee/tea in the reception/lounge area should be complimentary for guests. TV offering very basic and slow. Lower-star hotels at least offer apps you can log into (netflix etc.)
