I really enjoyed my stay,...

Pros: From walking in, Sam the receptionist was friendly warm and welcoming, nothing was a problem. Bar food was freshly cooked and tasty. Beer was cool and tasty also. Rob the night porter was a gem. What a shame this establishment with its bespoke bar, friendly staff and location has been sold to be used for some other purpose!!

Cons: Would have liked a more fulfilling breakfast, maybe a bit more heat in the bedroom.

Cons: In a junior suite it can get a little chilly. They were nice to provide sheets for the sofa bed and get another heater in the room.

Pros: The building is beautiful and the decor in the bar area is lovely ; great size room , the biggest asset to the Leaside is the staff

Cons: We were upgraded to a suite , which was a great size , the finish was tired and looked cheaply done , the floor in the bathroom was not good and was lifting in places , the shower cubicle was tiny and the shower was leaky , the jacuzzi bath had lots of signs of wear and tear , no plug in the wash basin and something suspect done the plug on the first day , the second day we had a plug and whatever it was had gone , the curtains were dirty and there was a massive cobweb by the air con unit . The room was cold .

Cons: The car park is at the end of a narrow road down some sketchy back streets. No lift and we stayed in the very top room. Only us and 1 other couple were waiting for breakfast but it took 30 minutes to get our food ( you are told to expect a 20 minute wait when you fill your form in saying what you would like) but really 30 minutes for 4 breakfasts and the tea and coffee were cold ( in ready made flasks) .

Hotel located on a steep hill in a dark, lonely lane. Entrance to hotel is difficult to access.

Cons: The location was scary. Our taxi driver couldnt find it. You entered the hotel via a dark car park, at a dark locked pedestrian gate, up dark stairs. It was the most unwelcome entrance to any hotel we have ever visited. Not what you want in a drizzly evening with 2 young children. The stairs to the room had a security door with a security number pad half way up. It felt like we were entering some sort of secure accommodation. The place felt like it was under siege and a bit scary. It also has lots of signs saying we are renovating dont worry you room is ok. So obviously lots of others have expressed concern. We went out to eat, regardless and in the way back it it was even more scary with 2 guys dealing drugs just down from the dark entrance gate. I have given it a 3 overall because the room was good. But we would not return!
