Pros: The people were very friendly and helpful. The facilities were quite good. The restaurant was also very good, the best creme brule I have eaten!!!

Cons: The cleaning of the room tok place around 17.00, so it was not always on time for us.

Poor for the price

Pros: The Poole was filthy. The room was cramped and old looking with dirty grout in the bathroom.

Cons: The location was remote and the hotel itself was tried and in need of renovation. The prices were too expensive.

We had older rooms, but very clean and had all we needed. Breakfast was really good. Dinner was also lovely, but service

A real gem just 3 hours from Calais

Pros: We loved our stay at Le Clos. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We were given a triple room in the main building which actually had 2 very comfortable double beds. One bed was huge!!! We had a great night's sleep. There was no shower only a bath but it was clean and a good sized bathroom. It was quite a quirky room a bit like fawlty towers days but comfy and clean with TVs. The grounds around the hotel are stunning, so beautiful and well kept. The reception and shared areas are modern, clean and bright. We had dinner and breakfast, both were delicious. They did a set menu for both adults and kids. We had prawns and steak and a good bottle of ros wine all reasonably priced. The staff were all lovely and very patient with our lack of French. (Thanks for working out our broken French and sign language). We were pleased to see dogs were allowed in this hotel. A few were dotted around at dinner. Great for pet owners!! This hotel has 2 swimming pools. One indoor and one outdoor. There is even a steam room and a sauna. We must have spent about 6 hours using the facilities, brilliant!!!! So good for the kids. We were allowed to use the facilities up until 1pm on day of departure. We will definitely come back. Its a great stop if you're driving to/from calais going to Brittany - just over 3 hours drive. Its very close to Honfleur and not to far from Etretat. We noticed they had some lovely looking rooms facing the pool with access to their own sun loungers. Next time we will pay a bit more and choose one of those rooms. Thanks for a great stay.

Pros: Friendly staff, kids really enjoyed both the indoor and outdoor swimming pools.

Cons: Size of the rooms varied. Three person room was spacious, two person room quite small and could use some renovation (but perfectly fine for the one night we stayed there).

Cons: Bathroom very poor. No space to take shower. Only possible to take shower on our knees in the bathtub.

Cons: The spa was in renovation so not available. This was not mentioned on the website. At the website photos are about the main buildingand the pool. We were in a side building that has a total other style. That was a little chock at first.

Cons: Attic rooms bathrooms needed a little bit of a refresh and difficult to get in and out of the bath. No shower

Pros: Beautiful grounds, fantastic location, amazing staff, fabulous food, amazing breakfast, just great. Reception/wait staff on Sunday afternoon and evening were absolutely brilliant. Highly recommended and will use again.

Cons: If I am nit-picking, the rooms were a bit tired but this is a minor detail as it was exceptional value for money.
