Pros: Staff were brilliant, and outside sitting area is lovely on a sunny day. They accommodated for gluten free dietary restrictions.

Cons: Hotel is a bit tired - bathrobes were frayed, hot tub was out of order, one of the lights in the pool needed changing, rooms are outdated. Nothing catastrophic, but begs the question of value for money.

Pros: The service was excellent. The staff was very friendly and accommodating!

Cons: The room was on the ground floor and was small. It was extremely noisy at night. The beds were very uncomfortable. A room that in no way lives up to the stars of the hotel. Dark and depressing!

Pros: The hotel is very central location of Ilsenburg with a lot of hiking and walking paths. The staff was very kind, caring and helpful. The rooms are quite large as well as clean and well equipped with any amenities.

Cons: The spa area is quite old and not renovated, actually we expected more for the worth of the money. Unfortunately during our 3rd day of stay, I was tested covid positive and we decided to drive back home not to risk anyone at the hotel where there are a lot of elderly people. The hotel told us that they could have offered a voucher for the 3rd day unless the booking would have been made through hotel's website but not from Booking.com. Therefore, we had to pay the full amount of that day (265 euro) We communicated this issue with the Booking.com by expecting a positive outcome however the customer support was informed by the hotel reception that there was no communication about the voucher at all! Considering a loyal customer of Booking.com, we were expecting that they could take some liability for the satisfaction of their customers and provide a voucher on behalf of the hotel but it seems they do not care that much either. So, therefore we have decided to minimize our activities through Booking.com and look for other alternatives as well as websites of the hotels.

Pros: Excellent location by the lakeside. The rooms were comfortable. But the absence of fans an d ACs in the room was uncomfortable in this hot weather.
