About La Quinta Inn & Suites By Wyndham Brand Hotels

Servicing guests from the United States, Mexico, Canada and Honduras, La Quinta Inns & Suites started with humble beginnings in 1968 during the HemisFair also known as the San Antonio Texas World’s Fair. Founded and built by entrepreneur Sam and Phil Bharshop, they built the La Quinta Inn or the “The Country Villa Inn” and later on became the first hotel under the successful brand La Quinta Inn & Suites.

 

The first ever La Quinta Inn & Suites hotel in San Antonio, Texas also served as the headquarters of the brand. It was later on relocated to Irving, Texas in 1999. In 2005, LQ Corporation, the company behind the La Quinta hotel brands agreed to be acquired by the Blackstone Group for a whopping $3.4 billion, both in cash and in debt. The merger materialized and was completed in January of 2006.

 

At present, company and franchised hotels under the La Quinta Inn & Suites are consisted of more than 87,500 rooms, around 890 properties in total located in different locations in all the 48 states in the United States. Hotel branches in Canada, Colombia, Mexico and Honduras area also included in this number, segregated under the La Quinta Inn & Suites, La Quinta Inn and the LQ Hotel brands.

    Pros: Nothing at all! Was terrible!
    Cons: The shower head flew off during shower!! The room was nasty. It had stained towels with what looked to be poo.. fresh white drip stains on the bed skirt just awful, checked out a day early and called 2 days later to ask about the refund on me second night since I checked out early and did not stay for the second night!! The Front desk lady She was very rude saying what do you expect it’s not instant! Also The pictures on here are not the real ones from this location or just not current!!!!

    Pros: The tv didn’t work Very bad odor in room sheets dingy Very uncomfortable situation. It was a nightmare. I left at 2 a.m.

    Overall not bad, still could...

    Pros: The location was okay, I learned that it’s a hotel for truckers & anyone stopping by in the area. Remind me of a Motel 6 ! Staff were amazing!!
    Cons: The towels provided could have been cleaner, also could have been more provided!!
