About La Quinta Inn & Suites By Wyndham Brand Hotels

Servicing guests from the United States, Mexico, Canada and Honduras, La Quinta Inns & Suites started with humble beginnings in 1968 during the HemisFair also known as the San Antonio Texas World’s Fair. Founded and built by entrepreneur Sam and Phil Bharshop, they built the La Quinta Inn or the “The Country Villa Inn” and later on became the first hotel under the successful brand La Quinta Inn & Suites.

 

The first ever La Quinta Inn & Suites hotel in San Antonio, Texas also served as the headquarters of the brand. It was later on relocated to Irving, Texas in 1999. In 2005, LQ Corporation, the company behind the La Quinta hotel brands agreed to be acquired by the Blackstone Group for a whopping $3.4 billion, both in cash and in debt. The merger materialized and was completed in January of 2006.

 

At present, company and franchised hotels under the La Quinta Inn & Suites are consisted of more than 87,500 rooms, around 890 properties in total located in different locations in all the 48 states in the United States. Hotel branches in Canada, Colombia, Mexico and Honduras area also included in this number, segregated under the La Quinta Inn & Suites, La Quinta Inn and the LQ Hotel brands.

    Cons: They require you to pay a $200 deposit that you dont get back on your card for up to seven days we paid it in cash and got it back after a room inspection. Nowhere on the hotel website do they tell you they require this deposit the floors were so dirty

    Pros: I hate I was treated in this hotel the employee at the front desk cursed at me told me to go to hell among nasty things the general manager when I called her to bring to her attention the way her staff treated me she insulted me

    Pros: Shower was old hard to turn on the water. Bath Tub was loose on the bottom was hard to take shower because loosing balance. Next day complaint to office instead of changing room they open investigation like a was a liar. They sent maintenance to investig
    Cons: After the problem for the first day finale approved for another room but this hotel rent rooms to family to stay leave there no vacation only. At midnight people next room start drinking or doing drugs and getting crazy and that happen until 4 am.

    This place is conveniently located and an ok flop for the night.

    Pros: The best thing about this hotel is the location. It is close to the Broadway Palm Dinner Theater which was our reason for visiting. The staff were friendly and efficient. The price was ok, but not great.
    Cons: This hotel needs some attention. The bar supporting the shower curtain was rusted. There was pretty severe staining in the tub/shower stall. The bedsprings were very squeaky/noisy. We were placed in a room with an adjoining unit and could hear every word our neighbor spoke during a late night phone call (nearly midnight). Finally, this hotel needs an update. Many more modern facilities offer built-in USB ports for charging low-voltage devices (phones, etc) and this place has none. If there were better options in the area I would probably go there instead.

Entering the shower, I was shocked that my feet were black with dirt. The bathroom area was very clean, but I'm guessing that the area by the front door is never washed. That was quite a yuck.

    Pros: Central location, though dismal.

    Pros: We stay at this hotel before it's always been great I love it because it's right next to our favorite restaurant.
    Cons: I wish they would have put us on a downstairs floor very hard to get up the steps with knee replacement done.

    Wonderful

    Enjoyed it.....

    Pros: The lady at the front desk was super friendly. She explained where things were the pool was, and when breakfast started and ended, why she put me in that specific room.
    Cons: No complaints here
