About La Quinta Inn & Suites By Wyndham Brand Hotels

Servicing guests from the United States, Mexico, Canada and Honduras, La Quinta Inns & Suites started with humble beginnings in 1968 during the HemisFair also known as the San Antonio Texas World’s Fair. Founded and built by entrepreneur Sam and Phil Bharshop, they built the La Quinta Inn or the “The Country Villa Inn” and later on became the first hotel under the successful brand La Quinta Inn & Suites.

 

The first ever La Quinta Inn & Suites hotel in San Antonio, Texas also served as the headquarters of the brand. It was later on relocated to Irving, Texas in 1999. In 2005, LQ Corporation, the company behind the La Quinta hotel brands agreed to be acquired by the Blackstone Group for a whopping $3.4 billion, both in cash and in debt. The merger materialized and was completed in January of 2006.

 

At present, company and franchised hotels under the La Quinta Inn & Suites are consisted of more than 87,500 rooms, around 890 properties in total located in different locations in all the 48 states in the United States. Hotel branches in Canada, Colombia, Mexico and Honduras area also included in this number, segregated under the La Quinta Inn & Suites, La Quinta Inn and the LQ Hotel brands.

    Pros: Breakfast was good, but not healthy at all some fresh fruits would make such a difference. Hotel stuff was nice!
    Cons: Terrible work done with cleaning. Our room was dirty. In bathroom there was debris and someone else hair on the floor, mirrors were stained. It was night when we arrived so I tried not to see how did carpet in the room look like just wanted to fall asleep as soon as possible.

    Disappointing

    I would not stay at...

    Pros: Breakfast was a joke and the room didn’t have a working toilet we had to change rooms then the 2nd room refrigerator did not work beds and pillows not comfortable
    Cons: Staff could of been better lady at the front desk told me the manager said to watch me and my family because of the things we had on the cart to take to our room cupcakes and wanted her to make sure we wasn’t a disturbance advised her the 5 children were on my reservation and ie the reason for me having two rooms booked. I don’t appreciate manager saying watch them as if we are children and not adults with children and I spend my hard earned money in there establishment! Think I will be canceling the little trip I booked to Florida with the Wyndham resort.

    Pros: Location
    Cons: Person at front desk said my cc was declined right out loud in front of another customer. I called the cc company, there was nothing wrong with my card. Think he didn't know what he was doing or tried to swipe my card too many times? Or it was the cc machine. Pillows smelled a little musty and you all need some new couches in the suites.
