Servicing guests from the United States, Mexico, Canada and Honduras, La Quinta Inns & Suites started with humble beginnings in 1968 during the HemisFair also known as the San Antonio Texas World’s Fair. Founded and built by entrepreneur Sam and Phil Bharshop, they built the La Quinta Inn or the “The Country Villa Inn” and later on became the first hotel under the successful brand La Quinta Inn & Suites.

The first ever La Quinta Inn & Suites hotel in San Antonio, Texas also served as the headquarters of the brand. It was later on relocated to Irving, Texas in 1999. In 2005, LQ Corporation, the company behind the La Quinta hotel brands agreed to be acquired by the Blackstone Group for a whopping $3.4 billion, both in cash and in debt. The merger materialized and was completed in January of 2006.

At present, company and franchised hotels under the La Quinta Inn & Suites are consisted of more than 87,500 rooms, around 890 properties in total located in different locations in all the 48 states in the United States. Pros: The sign saying poo spa was funny, that was only good thing in hotel. Fyi there is no spa.

Cons: Roon dirty, was dirty gloves on floor, hall was dirty,visible dip in bed, has wash rag under the sheets,staff was rude.

Cons: We never ended up staying. The room was horrible. There mustve been a dog in there prior. Furniture was eaten. Vents were disgusting. There was carpet ripped up that I tripped over and almost fell. Went to the front desk to ask for a different room. They couldnt give us the Jacuzzi room because they wouldnt allow us to spend that much money. They wouldnt give us to adjoining rooms because that was too much money. Could you nothing to accommodate us so we left. I would never go back to this location ever it was disgusting.

Pros: The location was near all the stores and restaurants. The customer service was great. She changed my rooms so that they would be on the same floor, because one was on the second floor and the other room was on the third floor. She put the room on the third floor on the second floor.

Cons: There weren't enough wash cloths to bathe. The wall ac/ heat unit was not working at the time.

Pros: The hotel is in a convenient location. The breakfast was good.

Cons: The room did not come with the basic amenities expected. I (and my family) had to go back and forth with staff in order to get enough towels and washcloths (there was no clean linens at the property for at least half a day) and an ironing board that was not full sized. The furnishings in the room were in disrepair (the sofa beds upholstery was ripped) and dingy (sofa bed, toilet, and tub). When I finally received towels and washcloths (one of the washcloths was full of holes), I was informed by the staff member that she had upgraded my room before check in. It was not worth what I paid in the first place! I guess there are HVAC issues in the building because there were mobile units space heaters in the lobby. It was very hot in the lobby. I reached out to corporate about my issues a week ago but received no response.

Nice Place with Internal Challenges

Pros: The Staff was great & responsive. I like the space and layout of the room. It was refreshing to walk in and have the appearance of space.

Cons: Unfortunately, I didn't have an iron or ironing board so I left in my pajama shirt, the telephone was not working so I walked down to the front desk to inform them, the sofa bed was difficult to pull out so we left it alone and my son slept on the floor, the water pressure in the bathroom sink was very low so it was only a small stream of water that would come out, and we requested no housecleaning while there but they did come in and took the towels and washcloths. We managed to get through it.
