Convenient location, comfortable accommodation, and excellent amenities

Pros: For a 2-day stay it was exactly what I was looking for, perfect location with small shops and supermarket nearby. Easy to eat outside, there are a few restaurants nearby. Beach is not far. The duplex room was very comfortable and perfect for a romantic getaway. Big pool, water was perfect. Bed was very comfy, all amenities were available for a 5* hotel.

Cons: The air-conditioner on the first level of the room wasn't working - when the technical seemed to fix it, it only worked for a few hours until it went out again. It did get quite hot in the room and the other air-cond wasn't powerful enough. The other bad side is there were works on the floor where the spa is located, it was quite gloomy when accessing the spa via the lift.

Pros: The rooms were big with a nice bed and bathroom.

Cons: The swimming pools were disappointing. In the garden there are two small swimming pools, one without beds and the other one has a few beds without any shade so its not inviting. On the 3rd floor there is a swimming pool as well but its surrounded by rooms and there are, for instance, no plants. There is no pool service so you cant order drinks or food at the pool. There is no room service. You can go downstairs and order food at the restaurant but there is no phone in the room to order. The breakfast is OK but I would expect better from a 5 star hotel.

Hotel rates itself as 5 star. It certainly isnt but we felt we were paying 5 star prices.

Pros: Well situated. Only 5 minute walk to beach. The hotel was clean and tidy but needs updating in many areas. Swimming pool was good. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful

Cons: Our room lighting was totally inadequate. Wifi next to useless.

Cons: was 50% under renovation. quite noisily and Messy. rooms ok but no power sockets near the bed. outside room was pool and dir to the rain and trees around the deck was always wet and dirty from birds feeding

Cons: Yet another hotel that says it will only change the towels if you leave them on the floor but then changes them every day regardless.

Comfortable and luxurious Jimbaran at an affordable price.

Pros: Kupu Kupu is located about a 10 minutes walk (2 mins drive) from Jimbaran beach on a side road and has access to a beach club facility, which is nice given it is not right on the shore. The decor is outstanding throughout, the staff friendly and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The pool and garden space is quite pleasant. We did not try the spa facilities. Overall, we were quite satisfied with our stay.

Cons: The only downside to the hotel is that on one side, there is a busier road, which has a lot of traffic noise at all times of day and night and the rooms are not well sound isolated. The beach club facility did not open until around 11:00 am, and we found earlier was the nicest part of the day on the beach.

Pros: Staff were lovely and very accommodating. The hotel is beautifully appointed and looks great, but it did have its issues. the staff did change our room for us. and tried to help out as much as they could. short walk to the beach and seafood restos.

Cons: the internet went in and out. the tv didnt work half the time, even tho the staff fixed it for us twice. huge room but nowhere to put anything. the shower was terrible - weak and not very hot.
