About Days Inn By Wyndham Brand Hotels

Founded in 1970, Days Inn is a hotel chain started by Cecil B. Day and opened its first location in Tybee Island, Georgia. The second hotel came in the same year at Forsyth, Georgia with hotel rooms starting $8 a night.

Days Inn’s earlier years were quite tough. The lack of maid service was the initial issues Day had to go through after creating the brand. As a temporary solution, he had to ask help from his children to make up the beds in the hotel rooms. Furniture needed in the hotel were hauled to the location by Day’s mother, on her wagon because the truck was too heavy to go through the bridge to reach the first Days Inn hotel in Tybee. With 60 rooms and a set of friends who had no confidence on Day’s investment, Days Inn Tybee Island got a 100% occupancy in April 1970 and became a success from then on. Franchises became available in 1972 and by 1978, there are already more than 300 Days Inn hotels in the United States, Mexico as well as Canada.

Now under the Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, Days Inn has over 1900 properties operating in different parts of the world.

Pros: Ease of booking, location off interstate Mattress was fine.

Cons: Very worn out facility. Stains on the bathroom ceiling. Wobbly bathtub faucet. Cold harsh white LED bulbs in all the lamps. Broken coffee maker.

Our stay was a disaster.

Pros: Location and price were excellent.

Cons: Did not like walking down cigarette smoke filled hall to get to a nonsmoking room. One of the group has asthma and highly allergic to cigarette smoke. Although bed sheets appeared freshly laundered they were stained. The cleaning staff held a shouting match in the hallway outside the door to our room. We needed a late checkout and the staff refused to cooperate.

Cons: There were bugs on the bed and the next day I had several bites. Hope they weren't bed bugs. Found one , but no others! ??? Was space for am easy chair?b but there wasn't one, only the desk chair. Otherwise had to sit on the bed. The shower handicapped, but no place to put the soap or any shampoo/conditioner bottles? The floor is not very handicap accessible.u

Pros: I and other was sexually groped by an employee who lived on site,he used his master key to come in a room whenever,he stole 250 bucks cash he said he wanted to buy a woman he said he cover my room for a week.he stole 1.75 ounces of medical marijuana,as well Gucci cologne and gucci lotion.once we told the employer they disregarded me and kicking me out.i had to get the lady who was attacked by the same man....in which I stopped...the promise to put him in custody.they hid him at a store in Branson..where they bought him .the owner never spoke to me directly.i mad two complaints and was kicked out they said for not taking down my complaints.they still won't pay me for my stay which was two weeks,i never got to enjoy my stay ,my marijuana,my cash,colongnr and lotion

Cons: Dirty and nasty as hell! Had to clean toilet and tile floors myself then after few hours the person they sent to clean smelled so bad you would think he had never ever had a bath, stink!
