Pros: Great location. Right downtown. I liked the way the parking garage was painted/decorated. Other than the sound of the trains, it was quiet.

Cons: The room was clean but old looking. The bathroom door needs to be replaced. The double beds are too small and should be replaced with queen beds.

Cons: The property is set up like a motel which was fine but I would have felt safer in a hotel style. I did not like their the tub had hairs in it and clearly was not clean. The walls were thin and our neighbor had a screaming match with her teenage child at 6:00 am. That child will have no PlayStation (during the week and must apologize to their dad). I don’t need to know all this and it was alarming to wake up to the screaming.

Pros: Great location for walking downtown area for dinner, coffee bars, and event we attended. Rooms were very clean and comfortable.

Pros: Very central location close to shopping, restaurants, buses to everywhere in town and airport. Friendly accommodating staff. Comfortable Italian shower with good water pressure and an extra wall heater in bathroom. Nice TV screen, microwave and fridge in room All in all great place for a reasonably priced clean, safe downtown location. Earplugs provided for those sensitive to train noise but it did not bother us.

Cons: One of beds beds had a very thin blanket but heat in room was fine. Breakfast items very low second morning.

Pros: I could walk to anywhere downtown. They project cartoons on the side of the building.

Cons: It was right next to the train bridge so trains were going all night long. So noisy.

I love this place!

Pros: This is my "go to" hotel. I can park right outside my door and I can walk to many great restaurants, to the mall, etc. The airport is very close. I live about 100 miles from Spokane. I always stay the night at the Steam Plant hotel the night prior to my departure flight and after my arrival. It is very close to the airport.

Cons: Usually the staff are wonderful - accommodating and friendly. But the last time I stayed there there was a "stranger" at the check-in desk with two lip rings -- very distracting. Big deal, right? However, it seems there is a positive correlation between bad service and facial piercings and facial tattoos. I digress...In particular, the person at the front desk was a " 'no' person". She acted like an inflexible robot. I doubt she will work there much longer....not a good fit. The shower faucets in some of the rooms are on the wrong wall, such that one has to get wet in order to turn the faucet on. This is particularly annoying during winter. Burrr! The beside tables on either side of the king-size beds are very tiny. My stuff usually falls off them. Avoid this issue my getting a room with two double beds. The lighting is too dim. Hey! Whataya expect for a hundred bucks?

Pros: I never stayed in the room. Was robbed on the way home. Stay out of downtown.

Pros: Train going by was loud but did stop from midnight to 4am. Room was fine nothing fancy. Breakfast very poor, not much choice.

Cons: Downtown Spokane isn’t what it was when I was a kid, a little scary. Homeless wondering. I wouldn’t walk anywhere alone. This isn’t the hotels fault.

Pros: It was in a great location. Everything was a 2 minute drive or 10 minute walk away.

Cons: The room smelled like fresh bowel movement, we had to air out the room and the sheets and towels had yellow stains on them from being over washed or bleached (I hope). It felt stale. We got there late so we just slept and left. The bathroom smelled like used wet rag.

Pros: I thought the hotel was going to be part of the old Steam Plant and I was disappointed that was not the case. The staff was friendly, efficient and professional. The Continental breakfast was one of the most bare minimum breakfasts I've seen at a hotel but the coffee was great! The hotel is right beside a heavily traveled railroad track which was kinda fun to see all the trains pass through. I was a little worried that the trains would keep us awake at night but we slept like babies! At night time an old Popeye cartoon was played on the outside of the parking lot building which really added a unique touch as we sat at a balcony outlook point and visited with our friends who did a mini road trip with us! Overall, we did have a great visit in Spokane!

Cons: Upon arrival, the clerk apologized and told me that they were overbooked and stated that he had trouble trying to contact me using the number provided in my booking reservation. I was told that they had a room for me at another hotel (Hotel Ruby) one block away and I was given a one-day free parking pass in the lot between the two hotels for my inconvenience. When I arrived at Hotel Ruby I asked the clerk what phone number they had on file for me and it was the correct number but when I checked my phone there were no missed calls, interesting!! I also mentioned that the lot where I was given the free parking pass looked pretty sketchy since there was broken glass in several places. The clerk told me that it wasn't unusual for cars to be broken into there. On my way to my room, I noticed that there was what appeared to be a private bar connected to the first floor of the hotel and it was starting to get noisy since it was now past 11 pm, by 4 am it finally calmed down, good thing I only had to be up by 6 am!! The room smelled old and musty even though it looked like it was recently remodeled, It states that the rooms are non-smoking, I'm gonna guess that's probably true for the past 5 years but not for the previous 40 years Given this horrible experience, neither of these hotels will ever have to worry about being overbooked because of a reservation from me!
