Disappointing final leg of our tour of Spain

Pros: Nice modern clean hotel with nice decor. Good breakfast choices. Head reception man was excellent and very helpful.

Cons: Via the whats app messages service we asked for a restaurant to be booked, they read the message but didnt respond, we chased them up & they still didnt respond. We went to reception to ask only to find that they had not do this for us so no booking was made. We were fobbed off that the message was missed but they read it as soon as I sent it in the afternoon. Only 1 very small bottle of water in a deluxe room for 2 guests. Ordered 2 cocktails in the bar which took over 20 mins to be made, we were the only customers in there. We were not asked at checkout if everything was ok with our stay & would have preferred to give feed then rather than on here.

Pros: Great room, comfortable bed, good location, nice selection at breakfast and lovely bar area with helpful staff.

Cons: No English TV despite there being a BBC world news channel. Room was warm in the evening and air conditioning wouldn't switch on, and window only opened a small amount

Disappointing

Pros: The location worked for us as we wanted to get out and walk the streets. It is about a 15min walk to the centre. You could drive up to the hotel and drop off the bags before having to park the car. The room is quite spacious.

Cons: The hotel is very tired and in need of a good clean and upgrade. The rooms are light but the quality of toilet tissue/ tissues, towels, bathrobes etc is quite poor. The shower pressure is good but the bathroom is quite small and it had an unsightly toilet brush (was white at some stage!) The metal panel on the door with the handle came loose when we opened the door. For security and safety reasons the door should have a peep hole in it so that you can see who is knocking prior to opening it. If I was travelling alone I would not be comfortable opening the door. The staff we had most interaction with at reception had no English to speak of. I understand we are in spain but in an international 4 star hotel you would expect the reception to at least understand when you ask for an ice bucket! We even said it in spanish using goggle translate but to no effect. Lovely smiley person but ..... Also we were told on arrival that the restaurant wasn't open during our stay and the bar ( an open space with what looked like garden furniture) was only open from 7 to 11pm and so you couldn't get a drink, ice or food except between those times. We know we were staying in January but we expect if a hotel is open for paying guests then the staff and facilities should be available too. As no one had interacted with us during our stay we thought when we checked out we might be asked how we enjoyed our stay or at the very least said goodbye to and thank you for staying but again nothing.

Pros: The location was good. The hotel was very clean, the staff was very friendly and the breakfast was really good. This was our second stay, and we will definitely be back.

Pros: We had a Junior Suite which was spacious and comfortable and very clean. A very good breakfast and coffees. A very generous selection of emergency toiletries in the bathroom, if you'd forgotten your razor or toothbrush. A great recommendation for the restaurant along the block Tio Andres, it was very busy but the food was excellent. Great location for the 3 Kings Parade which passes straight past the hotel.

Cons: There was no shampoo, soap or bubble bath for or near the bath and the soap, shampoo, etc was in fixed bottles on the wall inside the shower or wash basin, which made thibga quite difficult. When we checked in, we asked about breakfast but as it wasn't included the staff member was not keen to offer it to us, even if we paid. We went back to reception later in the evening to book breakfast and it was very good value. Also we were not asked whether we wanted to book for dinner at all, which seemed odd.

Pros: Upon my check - in Dec 8 they are so nice. As what i likes staff said you paid already for 10 nights to stay here. No comments. But at last i stayed 5 nights only..

Cons: I paid already in my 10 nights. After one day im begging if i can change the date of my stay. The staff said big noh--'something angered, he said, even refund noh! why you wont stay here until 10 nights as you paid? Look here your receipts is ready for you as you paid in 10 nights. Why, you found cheap hotel you are going to transfer? You dont know so many agencies booking here, booking.com geting rich and hotel lost their money. I checking out Dec 13 instead Dec 18 and i asked the staff (desk) i need my receipts of being paid in 10 nights. Staff refused to give and said i send to your email. I gone out of the hotel of nothing. And no any receipts. Why? Im totally not happy..

Great value & comfy beds

Pros: Beds were extremely comfortable and there was a pillow menu. Exceptional value.
