Good food and location but staff wont help with Simone enquiries

Cons: The only reason I am not rating this property as excellent is Because of this reason that I will tell you right now I stayed at this property Due to me wanting to do a religious pilgrimage in this area. The last few temples are very far away and the public transport doesnt get you to them properly. So I decided I need a taxi after speaking to the tourist information centre which is nearby. I went and spoke to the hotel reception and using my mobile phone with Google translate I explained my situation quite simply and easily. Which was I was quoted a price for a taxi for a couple of hours and when looking on the Internet is quite expensive, I asked if the hotel they be able to ring one or two taxi places that I would provide the phone numbers for just to get another price. The Staff member was rude and simply said no we cannot do that. I was quite shocked as I stayed in this hotel for five days and this is the attitude Ive got. It was probably because I was not Japanese that Ive got this Answer from the staff member. I have Stayed at other Japanese hotels and they have assisted me with other help that was a lot more complicated. The mere fact that he just said no they cant do nothing and that was it to make one or two phone calls just to get a price is simply unacceptable. If you want to stay With a cheap hotel and good breakfast and stay here but if you need any help you think while you are staying in this area then I recommend you do not stay in this hotel

Pros: The breakfast was great and the lady at the breakfast room was very nice and kind.

Cons: The room was small and dusty. It was difficult to communicate with the front desk staffs because they dont really speak English.

Pros: The breakfast was good - lots of options - very Japanese (of course, but sometimes there is a more western option). Rooms were very clean. I wish I had gone for two twin rooms, as my double room was quite small and the twin room that the kids had was much better (the twin room cost slightly more). The bathroom was nice and very clean. The room cleaning service each day was great. The area was fantastic and it was very easy to get around on the local train, which was close to the hotel. The food options in town were also excellent.

Cons: Just wish I had gone for a larger room - but the description on the website was very clear - that was just my fault.

Cons: furniture and facilities in room are old the two car parks under the building are small. Will need to use the parking lot across the road when those two car parks re full. This is not very friendly to visitors with luggage

Cons: The bed is so hard, my neck hurt all day, couldn't sleep for more than an hour or two at a time. The breakfast selection was poor, the heating on the room excessive and the air conditioning on the breakfast restaurant was too strong.

Great location, staff. Good rooms but could great with a few updates.

Pros: Large rooms. Large beds. Clean and tidy. Extremely close to seibu-chichibu station (and not too far walk to Chichibu station). Staff friendly. Buffet breakfast (even in these corona virus times) was good.

Cons: While renovated in the not so recent past certain common features in modern rooms were missing. During this trip the lack of usb charging was most noticeable (cycling so had limited carrying ability glad I brought a charger, as the room did not have one). The AC is effective but loud. Denim junpei could use some replacement with something lighter and more comfortable. With all the road cyclists coming through town, perhaps add a road bike stand to the parking area.

Cons: It is old, very old. Pricey for an old hotel with broken wall paper and drawer. Everything looks old. It should be cheaper. The breakfast was not really good, except for croissants.
