Pros: The property located near canal with nice garden and quite location but very centric, we sleep with open windows and nice balcony ! Amazing friendly stuff and beautiful antique decoration ! Nice breakfast !

Pros: The hotell has an authentic feeling to it and feels majestic. I chose this hotel because it seemed closer to tuscanny and its architecture and desing which it delivered. The staff was truly 10/10 (which is not always that easy to find while traveling throughout Italy if I may be bitter and add that remark). I enjoyed the most that the staff did ask me questions about myself and were curios about where I was coming from and such. It felt very nice and genuine. The staff was always attentive and asked if I needed anything while also remembering my preferences and even my name. Little details that make a huge difference. Really service minded, kind and warm people! The view from the hotell was spectacular. It s really close to the city center. Takes 10 minutes walk to the central station and around 15 minutes walk to Santa Maria del fiore church. Staying here felt close to everything. I felt that there were options regarding the breakfast: scrambled eggs, sausage, 5 or 6 different sorts of salamis, 5 different sorts of yogurts or even more. Several sorts cheese to choose from, some sweet things that were delivered personally to you without needing to ask. All in all I can say that the breakfast was varied so don t worry for that.

Cons: The bathrooms clearly need a renovation (they don t really fit the vibe and esthetic of the hotel). The bathrooms are clean and all that the only issue would be that they are old and not in a vintage kind of way but considering how little time one spends in the bathroom it s almost irrelevant I guess. The mattresses need to be changed since they tend to bend in the middle of the bed which gives it an odd sensation like sinking into a hole sort of. Was it a huge deal for me personally? No. What was a huge deal for me however was the sound of it all. I wake up easily from sounds during the night. I didn t hear any traffic since I wasn't facing the street. I could hear every single time someone opened or closed their doors. It sounded as if people were slamming the doors really hard everytime which I m sure couldn't have been the case. I could also unfortunately quite clearly here people talking in the hallway which woke me up instantly. There were just a lot of noise in general during mornings like around 8 but even like around 4 pm. I suspect it was the staff cleaning rooms or doing different chores there but man was it loud. I get that the building is old which means it s hard to replace things like doors or walls, but it is really needed because it does compromise the comfort of the guests. I could like hear a guest snoring in his room (more like heavily breathing) while I was in the hallway or people talking in their rooms although quite muzzled. If the noise issue wouldn't have been there I would have rated it a 10/10 without any doubt. I m giving it however a very generous 8/10 mostly because this was one of the few hotels in Florence that were actually esthetically pleasing without it costing 300 €/night. Food: the scrambled eggs were a bit tasteless one day and felt kinda old (as if they were made yesterday). Tomatoes were also sometimes tasteless, which usually happens if they're preserved in the fridge as they loose taste).

Pros: Brilliant location - easy to get to the main tourist attractions and close to the station but not in a very busy area making it quiet at night. Staff super friendly and helpful, comfy bed, little balcony overlooking the old city and hills above Florence, pretty little garden (though did not use it because too chilly when we were there), very clean, nice breakfasts. I would stay here again. Quirky, slightly faded charm, Hotel has its own very friendly dog.

Cons: Minor gripe was the old fashioned shower and small bath.

Pros: Overall breakfast was good all the essential so sweets and salted; good location 12 minutes from the train station Santa Maria Novella and 10-15 minutes from the main attraction. Our room had a view on the river side which was amazing. The atmosphere that surrounds the building is really regal and antique which is really calm, relaxing!

Cons: The beds were decent but the biggest concern was the AC. Our room was on the top of the building and just one day (it was really sunny) it was hot and during the night make our sleep kinda difficult. We needed to open the window outside even if the external temperature wasn't that crazy

Pros: Great location. Not far from all necessary central points to visit. Not in the historic zone and is accessible by car. This hotel has its own parking on the backyard which is perfect. This hotel is quite old hotel with its history. So You will not find modern style here. However, if you would like to feel old style hotel and cozy atmosphere - you've made a right choice. Our room had enough space, high ceilings. The staff is great and very friendly. So the stay was really great and we have wonderful experience staying in Firenze. This hotel is pet friendly and this is very appreciated. The terrace view is also great.

Cons: Nothing to comment. This hotel is a hotel with its own history. You can't dislike this.
